Wenn er Geschenke macht, dann meistens in Form von schützender Magie oder der Kenntnis über einen Hort des Reichtums unter der Erde, sei es nun in Form von Bodenschätzen oder alten, vergessenen Schatzkammern. Man sagt Grumbar nach, eine besondere Vorliebe für Sardonyx und Jasper zu haben, für Augen seiner Statuen werden solche Stein - zusammen mit Rubinen - bevorzugt verwendet.

W wielkim przybliżeniu tak właśnie wygląda awatar bóstwa, które - wedle zapisów kościelnych - tylko czterokrotnie odwiedziło Toril. Każdy krok wysokiej na niemal dziesięć metrów majestatycznej figury wywołuje wstrząsy, a gdy się odzywa, jej głos nigdy nie brzmi tak samo - raz dokładnie jak zderzające się skały, a kiedy indziej jak brzęczące kamyki na plaży lub jak orana darń. Wyznawcy Grumbara często składają mu ofiary, pomimo iż wiedzą, że tylko z rzadka odpowiada on na ich modlitwy. Władca Ziemi bez słowa przyjmuje podarki, wsysając je pod ziemię. Do najczęstszych darów należy sardoniks i jaspis oraz wykonane z rubinu statuy przedstawiające jego osobę. Zdarza się, że bóstwo odpowiada na modły, wtedy też obdarza wiernych magią ochronną oraz wiedzą o położeniu podziemnych pokładów rudy. Gesty z jego strony mają jednak dość specyficzny charakter - może on odpowiedzieć wiernemu, który rzadko kiedy wspomina jego imię, podczas gdy osoby w pełni mu oddane i składające dziesiątki darów mogą w trakcie całego życia nie otrzymać ani jednego znaku czy odpowiedzi. Warto wspomnieć, że jego niezadowoleniu oraz gniewowi towarzyszą potężne trzęsienia ziemi. Co jednak ciekawe, Władca Ziemi w miarę regularnie wysyła na Pierwszą Materialną istoty ze swego planu - xorny, khargry i żywiołaki - by niosły pomoc jego wyznawcom. Grumbar jest jak dotąd największym i najpotężniejszym żywiołakiem ziemi jakiego można kiedykolwiek spotkać. Znany jest shadom (oraz paru innym rasom) jako Żywa Góra (an.g Living Mountain) oraz Ojciec Ziemi (ang. Earth Father). Większa potęga, Grumbar, jest władcą wszystkich neutralnych żywiołaków ziemi.
