rdfs:comment | - True Illusion: Unbound Battle is one of the stronger genjutsu utilized by Shingen of Sanyūshō. In this genjutsu, the opponent battles an avatar of Shingen in their mind. While this may not seem like much, the genjutsu has no binding on it, allowing the target to move around freely. As such, the target will waste energy battling an opponent that does not even exist, while also giving Shingen an opening to strike. However, extremely skilled observers can notice small discrepancies with their other senses, besides sight and touch.

However, extremely skilled observers can notice small discrepancies with their other senses, besides sight and touch. This technique was also still fairly effective against early Dōjutsu techniques, as it controls the sight. The Byakugan's optical prowess still exceeds the strength of this genjutsu.
