  • Steel Release: Zweihänder is an offensive technique that creates a large ornate steel sword from the users hand. It is best for the user to hold their palm up so the steel can form above it. It is extremely heavy and accurate chakra control is needed in order to collect, mold, and form the steel nature chakra while keeping it above the users hand without breaking. Due to this, it takes a while to form due to the size of the weapon. The usual size of the created sword is generally the size of a large claymore but, depending on how much chakra is put into the jutsu, it can become as large as some of the weapons wielded by the roads, Gamabunta, Gamaken, and Gamahiro.

Once the massive sword is finally formed, the user can either wield it in battle or to throw it as a projectile. While wielding it as a sword gives the user tremendous striking power; enough to blow away a side of a large sized mountain, it is extremely heavy and requires a large amount of stamina and chakra to even lift more or less use effectively in battle. The best option is to use ones chakra to lauch it into the opponent. The striking power is such that a defensive summon like Summoning: Triple Rashōmon could be crippled if thrown at full power. Due to the time it takes to form the sword plus the chakra needed in its developement and use; this technique is often considered a one hit technique that is used to quickly finish a battle. Only experienced shinobi with massive levels of chakra can utilize this technique more than once. Even then, they can only manage two or three times total. Due to the size and weight of the object, perfect chakra control must be used to throw this massive sword. As such, it often flies in a straight line. Therefore, it is easy to dodge and avoid. This technique should be combined with a diversion of sorts or a way to keep the enemy in one place. Unless the opponent is proficient in barrier or defensive-type techniques, trying to block this attack is foolhardy and a death wish.
