Synopsis
  • With a legion of female fans fawning over him, Carol fears that Green Lantern's days as a bachelor are numbered and wants to be the one to pop him the big question. When she tells Hal, it gives him a heads up that she intends to propose to him as Green Lantern at the local charity ball. When stuck in a with having to answer her, Green Lantern wills his power ring to create a "menace" for him to stop. However, Hal is knocked out when he's hit in the head with a toy plane and his "menace" unwittingly causes trouble around town by stumbling around and being generally clumsy. Green Lantern revives and makes the "menace" disappear before the military can strike it with their weapons. Green Lantern is commended for "destroying" the creature When Carol tries once more to propose to Green Lantern, his legion of fans show up all proposing to him as well. Seeing this as an our, G.L. tells the ladies that he can't marry them all and leaves.
  • When Green Lantern travels back to the Ferris Aircraft Company after a mission, he swears he could have seen Hal Jordan slip by. To make things even more confusing, when he charges his power ring, Green Lantern finds himself transported into the middle of the desert. Rushing back to his dressing room he finds that his Power Battery is now missing. Meanwhile, at the boarding house where Pieface lives, Pie is trying to fix the TV aerial for the landlady, however upon touching it he is jolted with the telepathic message of Qwardian spies that are on Earth that they had tricked Green Lantern into revealing the location of his Power Battery by tricking him into landing at a mirage of the Ferris Aircraft Comapany revealing the Battery's real location and allowing the Qwardians to steal the real one. Pieface then informs the Green Lantern what happened. The Green Lantern then travels to the Negative Matter universe and to the world of Qward and battles the Qwardian army. When he finds that his Power Battery is sealed in a yellow dome, he finds a small flaw in the dome allows him to send ring energy into the dome and turn into a hammer smashing it from the inside out and liberate his power ring. Returning to the Positive Matter Universe, Green Lantern then rounds up the Qwardian spies living in Pieface's rooming house and turns them over to the police.
