abstract | - The "Fairy's Theme" is the leitmotif used to represent Fairy Fountains, Great Fairies and Fairies in general. The music is first introduced to the series in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and has appeared in every title since. It is usually played while Link visits a Fairy Fountain or a Great Fairy's Fountain or discovers a Great Fairy outside of a Great Fairy's Fountain. In most other games, it is also used on the File Select screen. The song has changed very little since it was first introduced, but a remix was composed for the Queen of Fairies in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. A symphonic version of the song was recorded for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which was included in the The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Special Orchestra CD. The rendition was titled "Great Fairy's Fountain Theme".
