The central theme of the book is that of humanity's relationship to Yahweh or God.

Captain Jonas Hanson had carried a Bible with him for years, looking for God, but after arriving on Avnil and enslaving it's people, he used the wisdom in the Bible to convince them that he was their god. Teal'c read it to gain a better understanding of Earth. Colonel Jack O'Neill decided to hear it on tape. (SG1: "Demons") Lt. • The Bible was a book written a long, long time ago. It was sort of like Star Wars, you know, good vs. evil, miraculous forces, a guy born of immaculate conception, and there's a Luke and a Leah in it. It had something to do with Jesus Christ, supposedly.

  • The Bible is the greatest book ever written. Ever. It was written by God, in God's own hand, with God's own pen, with God's own ink, on God's own paper, bound by God's own Ecumenical Council for Bible Binding. Seriously, the Bible is the only thing you'll ever need to live, ever. Law? It's got that! Sex? It's got that! Violence? You'd better believe it's got that! Ducks? It's got that; two in fact! Two ducks!!! What could be better? Nothing, that's what. It's the Bible, after all.

The Writings such as Psalms and Job are poetic works. Israelite historians presented a picture of the ancient nation based on information that they viewed as historically accurate. Then after a gap of around 400 years, books were circulated and accepted concerning the life and continuing work of Jesus Christ. Each of these books, both Old and New Testaments, were divinely inspired by God.

  • The Bible (also known as the Holy Bible) refers to a collection of books written thousands of years prior to the Great War of 2077. Few complete editions of the book are known to have survived in the wastelands. One such possible appearance, however, is seen in 2281 in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts, where Joshua Graham is shown reading what appears to be a Bible when he is in the Sorrows camp after the quest Deliverer of Sorrows, and also appears as an acquirable item for the player called "Scripture". It is also known that New Canaanites use the King James Version of the Bible.
  • The whole of the Left Behind series is based on events from the Bible, primarily from the book of Revelation but also including various Old Testament prophecies regarding Israel that have yet to be fulfilled. Enigma Babylon One World Faith considers the Bible's message of Jesus Christ being the only way to God to be heresy.
  • Both Bibles have been the most widely distributed of books. They have been translated more times and into more languages (more than 2,100 languages) than any other book. It is said that more than five billion copies of the Bible have been sold since 1815, making it the best-selling book of all-time. As the original meaning of the word indicates, the Jewish and Christian Bibles are actually collections of several books.
  • The Bible is a collection of ancient Earth writings bounded in a book. Several religious groups on Earth considered the Bible to be a sacred text, though between some of the groups were different translations and versions. In the 21st century the Atticus Unlimited series of artificial intelligence programs were hard-coded with derivatives of the biblical Ten Commandments (originally appearing at Exodus 20:1-17 and Deuteronomy 5:4-21) as their governing laws. Après sa mort, son mari James a encadré cette citation et l'a apprise à son enfant en 2259.

It is said that more than five billion copies of the Bible have been sold since 1815, making it the best-selling book of all-time. Because of Christian domination of Europe from the late Roman era to the Age of Enlightenment, the Bible has influenced not only religion but language, law and, until the modern era, the natural philosophy of mainstream Western Civilization. The Age of Enlightenment and the Scientific Revolution in Europe and America brought undeserved skepticism regarding the divine origin and historical accuracy of the Bible. Although some critical scholars, including archeologists, continue to use the Bible as a point of reference in the study of ancient Near Eastern history, most have come to view it as a cultural and literary document. As the original meaning of the word indicates, the Jewish and Christian Bibles are actually collections of several books.

Despite these controversies, The Bible is commonly and freely read to children. The Bible also employs various literary devices, such as symbolism, breaking the Fourth Wall, deus ex machina, McGuffins, Tom Swiftys, foreshadowing, magical realism, poetic justice, and anti-heroism. Interestingly, The Bible refrains from using some more familiar literary devices, such as parody, frame story, in media res, back story, romance, and love, which according to many literary experts could have improved the drama of the stories.

The Writings such as Psalms and Job are poetic works. Israelite historians presented a picture of the ancient nation based on information that they viewed as historically accurate. Judaism recognizes a single set of canonical books known as the Tanakh, also called Hebrew Bible, traditionally divided into three parts: the Torah ("teaching" or "law"), the Nevi'im ("prophets"), and the Ketuvim ("writings"). The Bible as used by Christians adopted the Jewish, or Hebrew Bible into its canon, classifying it as the "Old Testament". Soon after the establishment of Christianity in the first century, Church fathers compiled Gospel accounts, and letters of apostles into a Christian Bible, in addition to adopted Jewish Bible. This became known as the New Testament. The two together are referred to as "The Bible" by Christians. The canonical composition of the Jewish Bible is in dispute between Christian groups: Protestants hold only the books of the Hebrew Bible to be canonical; Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox additionally consider the deuterocanonical books, a group of Jewish books, to be canonical. The New Testament is comprised of the Gospels ("good news"), the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles (letters), and the Book of Revelation. The term "bible" is sometimes used to refer to any central text of a religion, or a comprehensive guidebook on a particular subject.

  • Bible refers to the collections of canonical religious writings of Judaism(old testament) and of Christianity(new testament).
However, many instances exist where remnants of the text still appear in the Fallout world. One such instance is a quote from one of these books, the Book of Revelation, is the favorite quote of Catherine, the mother of the Lone Wanderer. Sometime after her death, her husband James frames the quote in a picture frame. In 2259, James introduces his child to the quote. Additionally, a copy of the text appears tucked into the rope belt of the Pastor's vestments which can be worn by the player in 2287.

Enigma Babylon One World Faith considers the Bible's message of Jesus Christ being the only way to God to be heresy. Bibles were also used by the Global Community in ways that didn't honor God. Ironically, Carpathia used Bible knowledge of the two witnesses against them by planning the Global Gala to coincide with the date that their testimony would end so that he could execute them.

  • The Bible is a collection of ancient Human writings. Bound together into a book, humans of the Jewish and Christian religious traditions of Earth hold either some or all of the writings contained in the Bible as sacred. The individual writings are themselves referred to as Books of the Bible. In Judaism, these writings are referred to as the Tanakh, or Hebrew Bible. The writings found in the Jewish traditions make up what was called the Old Testament in the Christian version of the Bible, which also included additional writings which formed what Christians referred to as the New Testament. Throughout human history, a number of different translations were made of the Bible by various faith groups, and in some cases, different writings were used as the foundation of the Biblical canon. One example of this is the Roman Catholic denomination, which included some books in the Bible that other Christian branches did not.

  • The Bible is a collection of books, 66 in number, based on modern groupings. Within the pages of these books, one reads the historical, theological and poetic accounts of the LORD's work with His people throughout history up to the remarkable prophecies and warnings of the Revelation. About two thirds of the Bible relates the the ups and downs of God's chosen people, the descendants of Abraham. Then after a gap of around 400 years, books were circulated and accepted concerning the life and continuing work of Jesus Christ. Each of these books, both Old and New Testaments, were divinely inspired by God. The sections, called "Testaments," are a record of God's working by agreement with His people to save and preserve them in a world of evil. The Old Testament relates the "covenants" with Adam, Noah, Abraham (repeated to his son and grandson) and with David, the King. Each build upon the LORD's promise to give his special people a land of their own. The plan to reach the world with his message of mercy on mankind continues in the New Testament which relates the events of Jesus Christ on Earth and the early history of the Christian church and missionary outreach. The Bible is ultimately authored by God who, through various methods, has assigned and inspired human authors to contribute writings to the Bible. Though some parts of the Bible can be obscure, there are enough which either encourage or command obedience to the will of God. When a believer comes to the Word of God, he is assured in the Bible that he is not alone, for he is a child of God.
