  • Kyojitsu
rdfs:comment
  • Kyojitsu is a term heavily used in both samurai and shinobi records. The idea is that in warfare a strategic move is either a real and serious move or it is a deceptive blow. This is found in all warfare. For example, the movement of troops, the positioning of forces and the outward structure of a fortress. One of the main tasks of the shinobi is to discover if something is kyo or if it is jitsu. If it is reality or deception.
  • Energy constantly shifts from yin to yang to yin in a repeated cycle that lasts an eternity. Chakra is manipulated from this natural cycle by a shinobi, in the form of Ninjutsu, and altered to instead flow into the desired technique. Human carriers of chakra are shown to have specific alignments of their chakra flow which correspond to a particular ratio of yin and yang flow, which is necessary to invoke elemental effects. When a shinobi masters invoking this ratio and releasing it onto the world, they will often seek to master other alignments which require a greater effort due to possessing no affinity for them.

HyĆ«ga can effortlessly perceive and discern the flow of chakra with their Byakugan. Kyojitsu is an art that essentially cripples the use of ninjutsu and makes the manipulation of chakra's consistent flow between yin and yang seemingly disturbed. However, the true danger lies in the fact that Kyojitsu can be applied to neutralize existing ninjutsu as well. The Yang portion that grants the Fire Release's burning effect (which is normally flowing inversely) can be reversed and forced to flow back into dominantly Yin; essentially rendering the fire techniques to be those that simply bear the shape of fire but lack the actual inner content necessary for the burning effect. It is basically turned into an illusion. The yin that allows Water Release's fluid shape and movements can be rendered expansive and cause said techniques to basically implode.
