Following the rescue of the mining ship Rafe's Scavenger and the destruction of the experimental sloop HMS Phobos, Donnelly was reassigned to the destroyer HMS Guardian. (MA1) After the RMN's exploits in the Secour System, Donnelly returned to Manticore and continued her education, qualifying for beam weaponry as well as missile tech. She then got married to a scientist and transferred to HMS Damocles, with a promotion to Lieutenant Commander. Her marriage soon failed and she got divorced. In 1539 PD, she met up with Travis Long at the Recruitment Office he was working at, and asked him if his mother could take care of her ex husband's dog, Crumpets, while she was on a mission to the Casca System.
