After voxyn began killing Jedi, including Alema Rar's sister, Luke Skywalker decided to hunt down and kill the Voxyn Queen. Anakin Solo formed a task force of doomed, inexperienced Jedi to accomplish the task, including Tahiri Veila, Jacen Solo, Jaina Solo, Lowbacca, Alema Rar, Ganner Rhysode, Zekk, Tenel Ka Djo, and all the pretty youngsters. The mission went... er, badly, prompting Zekk to shout "Game over, man!" Oh, and Anakin died.

Sa tête est aplatie, mais bien occupée par une mâchoire disproportionnée. Ses organes - au moins son estomac - peuvent sécréter une espèce d'acide ressemblant à de la bile brunâtre. Le mucus projeté peut ronger matériaux et corps organiques, entraînant de graves lésions corporelles. Mais une fois sous le contrôle de son maître, le Voxyn se montre d'une redoutable efficacité... Quand un Voxyn a coincé une proie, il peut l'attaquer de différentes manières : il peut tout d'abord émettre un hurlement assourdissant visant à perturber la proie et la rendre passive pendant quelques secondes. Il y a bien sûr, le mucus produit par ses organes mais également les griffes et les dents de l'animal, le tout combiné à sa force physique exceptionnelle. Enfin, si le Voxyn est vaincu, il peut laisser échapper de ses plaies un sang contaminé qui agit comme une toxine neurale qui s'active au contact de l'oxygène. Même mortellement blessée, la créature reste donc particulièrement dangereuse, même pour un Jedi averti. La reine Voxyn fut heureusement tuée par un commando Jedi qui, au prix de pertes élevées, réussit cette mission sur Myrkr. Ceci n'entama pas les espérances que portait le Maître de Guerre Tsavong Lah dans cette créature, et recréa six fois plus de Voxyns pour la Bataille d'Ebaq 9.
