  • Steph: "Teenage boys are so predictable" “Search for a Hero” continues as Robin tries to save one young boy from drowning in the tidal wave of gang warfare drenching a newly anarchic Gotham City. But why does Ragman not want the boy to be saved? And why is Spoiler paying a visit to the General? Summary of Stephness: Tim is looking for Stephanie and Ives tells him she's been out of school for two days. Tim is worried, but doesn't want to call Steph's mother, knowing things have been rough between them because Crystal still doesn't approve of the continued Spoiler activity, but can't stop Stephanie from putting on the costume due to her night shift work. Tim is not sure he approves either and worries Stephanie might screw up again. Meanwhile, Stephanie has been shot by the General, but she managed to dodge it enough that the bullet aimed for her head went through her shoulder. The General is so impressed by this that he stitches her up and does a classic monologue. He theorizes that Steph's plan is she wants to give Tim more challenges to test him out and make him tougher, because she loves him and doesn't want him to get hurt in the future. The General has a similar plan, only his goal is to make Robin a worthy opponent. He desires to be Robin's "Joker". Stephanie (after being stitched up fairly haphazardly) airily says this is making her really hot and begins to pull down the neck of her costume, acting like she's going to expose her breasts. This causes the General to space out and stare and Stephanie uses that opportunity to punch him hard in the face, thinking to herself that teenage boys are so predictable. She then goes for her grapple gun and shoots it at Ulysses' chest, but he is wearing body armor under his shirt. Stephanie makes her escape, heading for the hospital and hoping her Mom isn't on call. She wants to figure out if General's game is good for HER plans. Tim is out fighting when Scarab comes along. She's using real bullets now, and has apparently been hired by Red Robin and decided to ditch Steph's contract. She is about to shoot Tim when Stephanie tackles her, ripping out her stitches in the process. Tim notices as the two slam to the ground, that Stephanie is hurt and is planning to do something about it when Red Robin rudely interrupts, challenging Tim to a fight. * * * * * *
