  • In 1998, the Timber Village Zone began to be harassed by a monster known as "The Lump". Fearing for his residents, the Zone Leader summoned Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary to deal with the threat. He greeted the girls in the heart of the Zone and pointed out the monster when he arrived. The cowardly leader quickly fled, leaving the girls to it. Some time later, after Tekno had used her translator-scan to idenfity the "monster's" motives, the Zone Leader returned, leading an angry mob carrying stakes and pitchforks. The leader himself, carrying a flame, charged at at the monster, ignoring Tekno's pleas to leave him alone. He chased his foe onto a rickety bridge, which collapsed with the weight of four people plus the monster. Fortunately, the Zone Leader was saved by the monster when he landed at the bottom of the ravine; its rubbery body caught the Zone Leader (and one other) and catapulted him back to the top. Later on, the Zone Leader apologised for the way he had treated the monster and accepted him into his community. Throwing in one last jibe, the Zone Leader joked that "Keanu" could serve the village as a bouncy castle, but took his statement back when it offended the large citizen.
