  • Anthropomorphism, also referred to as personification or prosopopeia, is the attribution of human characteristics to inanimate objects, animals, forces of nature, and others. [1] Biblical anthropomorphism is when human characteristics are projected on God. The Bible has examples of God referring to himself in anthropomorphic terms and the biblical writers referring to God in anthropomorphic terms -- the purpose being to describe God in terms more understandable to humans. Without anthropomorphism, since God is invisible and immaterial, we would not have a framework on which to understand Him.
  • Anthropomorphism has ancient roots as a literary device in storytelling, and also in art. Most cultures have traditional fables with anthropomorphised animals, who can stand or talk as if human, as characters. The word anthropomorphism was first used in the mid-1700s. The word derives from the Greek ἄνθρωπος (ánthrōpos), "human", and μορφή (morphē), "shape" or "form".
  • The user can grant non-living objects or even concepts life and anthropomorphic form/intelligence, change animals and plants into more humanoid in form and abilities and change pictures and paintings into three-dimensional beings. These new beings can use the abilities of their former state in addition to their new humanoid skills.
  • Anthropomorphism is the attribution of uniquely human characteristics to non-human creatures and beings, natural and supernatural phenomena, material states and objects or abstract concepts. It is applied to many characters in the Star Fox series. Subjects for anthropomorphism commonly include animals depicted as creatures with human motivation able to reason and converse, forces of nature such as winds or the sun, components in games, unseen or unknown sources of chance, etc. Almost anything can be subject to anthropomorphism. The term derives from a combination of Greek ἄνθρωπος (anthrōpos), human and μορφή (morphē), shape or form.
  • The most known Anthropomorph, yet semi-super-anti-uli-quadru-fictional, Superman has an Anthropomobelt™. The belt was invented in InverseFictom Factory.com and is currently the most richest "thing" "in" the planet. As it is located between magma and manga anime pron, Jakoyonodu, the president of IF2 is quite proud of his insane name and Japanese heritage.
  • Anthropomorphism was the practice of imparting Humanoid characteristics to non-humanoids, particularly animals. In a letter written to Jeremy Lucas in 2151, Doctor Phlox noted that Captain Jonathan Archer tended to anthropomorphise Porthos, speaking to him even though the dog likely understood nothing of what he said. (ENT: "Dear Doctor") In 2365, Jean-Luc Picard clarified his interest in horses to Deanna Troi, saying he was not interested in anthropomorphising it, just in enjoying its company. (TNG: "Pen Pals" )

Some of you Anthropomorphic people out there may enjoy the sexual ways of being a 'Furry' as well. Often thought to be held up in there own house or living in Your mom's basement for weeks, these people come out for a week every year to attend Anthrocon; a big (yes it's real.) 'Furry' convention (Pray to God), and migrate up northeast to mate and stay out late dancing or at the local fruit bar.

The term derives from a combination of Greek ἄνθρωπος (anthrōpos), human and μορφή (morphē), shape or form. Humans seem to have an innate capacity to project human characteristics in this way. Evidence from art and artifacts suggests it is a long-held propensity that can be dated back to earliest times. It is strongly associated with the art of storytelling where it also appears to have ancient roots. Most cultures possess a long-standing fable tradition with anthropomorphised animals as characters that can stand as commonly recognised types of human behaviour. The use of such literature to draw moral conclusions can be highly complex. Within these terms, humans have more recently been identified as having an equivalent opposite propensity to deny common traits with other species - most particularly apes - as part of a feeling that humans are unique and "special." This tendency has been referred to as Anthropodenial by primatologist Frans de Waal.
