In "Homer Scissorhands", she voiced Taffy, Milhouse Van Houten's love interest. Infamously, she had her name misspelled in the episode's end credits, and thus was credited as Kristen Schall. As an apology, Bart Simpson was assigned to write the correct spelling in detention to apologize on behalf of the writers in the following episode, "500 Keys". Schaal will guest star as Louise Belcher for the Bob's Burgers/Simpsons couch gag that was going to be shown in Season 29, but for reasons unknown, it will be seen in the Season 30 premiere.

But as The Daily Show's Senior Women's Issues Commentator, she was loud and proud in her support of Hillary Clinton for president. Sadly, that didn't work out so well (though the Secretary of State gig is not such a bad consolation prize). When Schaal's not championing the female cause and fighting sexism on Comedy Central (by stripping down to her superhero-inspired undergarments), she can be seen avidly stalking losabilly band Flight of the Conchords in the HBO Emmy-nominated show which shares their name. Schaal herself is easily cyberstalked, with multiple appearances in DIY comedies, such as Horrible People and Penelope Princess of Pets, posted online. Schaal is currently working on a torrid romance novel for HarperCollins, which she is writing with her boyfriend, Daily Show scribe Rich Blomquist. The duo originally intended to write the steamy tome under pseudonyms, "because I don't want anyone to imagine me doing those things," but the pair soon realized that there was no way they could sell the book without owning up to it.
