  • The concept of traditional memorial services had to be suspended due to the constant stream and alarming volume of casualties as Sera fell victim to the Locust Horde. Memorial grounds quickly became boneyards. Unmarked holes became grave sites and mausoleums were filled with the nameless remains of the fallen, their skeletons piled into heaps. Tread lightly, you never know what, or who, you’re walking on, and one day you’re bound to join them.
  • A boneyard is a colloquial term for a disposal area for lifeforms' bodies or old vehicles. Boneyard was a name given to the Rashanar Battle Site by the crew of the USS Juno. (TNG - A Time to... novel: A Time to Be Born) This is not the same "Boneyard" mentioned in the The Genesis Wave novels.
  • Non-members find this area helpful when training Prayer, but most members move on to other methods such as the Ectofuntus and POH Altars. When the 10 December 2007 updates occurred, the Boneyard was removed, its former location becoming part of the Clan Wars arena. Its music track, Shining, could be unlocked here. On 22 January 2011, Jagex confirmed in a Q&A that the Boneyard would return to the game. On 1 February 2011, the Boneyard returned to the game. The Boneyard is a common place for PvP activities, mainly because ill-equipped players are often attracted by the four big bones spawns.
  • When Luigi first enters the Boneyard, he sees Spooky sleeping in his doghouse. The curious plumber then saunters over only to be chased by the hungry canine. The barking from the dog wakes a Skeleton Ghost named Mr. Bones. Luigi sucks up this ghost leaving 1 bone. The dog attacks the bone and Luigi vacuums him up. Luigi then moves on to the graveyard.
  • The Boneyard is the home of the frost wyrms, once magnificent dragons now reduced to skeletal frames, manipulated by the dark magic of the Scourge to serve the Lich King. Frost wyrms have a crippling ability to cast their freezing breath onto enemy forces and buildings. In large numbers, frost wyrms present a truly dominating force. (W3Man 44)

  • The Boneyard, also known as Angel's Boneyard after it became one of the states of the New California Republic, is the overall title given to the collective of settlements built in the remains of Los Angeles, named for its devastated skyscrapers, reduced to their metal "skeleton", and for the skeletons of the dead that littered the city after the Great War.

  • When a Sin-Eater manifests the Boneyard, he allows his geist’s plasm to flow forth from his body to stain the surrounding area with plasmic residue. In this way, the Sin-Eater may extend his senses across a large area and affect his environment in ways associated with the Key used to unlock the Boneyard. Each boneyard is easier to use when the surroundings fit in with the used key (for example, the Cold Wind Boneyard is easier to use outside, but the Passion Boneyard is enhanced by locations infused with strong emotional resonance).

  • The Boneyard is a neutral Plane in which the souls of dead mortals are judged by the goddess Pharasma. It lies "above" Axis and "below" Groetus. At the center of the Boneyard is Pharasma's palace, where she sits on her throne and judges each of the dead souls that pass before her; an endless line of them winds out of her throne room through the surrounding graveyard. In many ways, the Boneyard is like purgatory; a place for you to come to terms with your death (or in some cases attempt to escape). When a soul is judged, it gets sent on to heaven or hell or wherever it is supposed to go. Those who worship Pharasma and do so well get to join her staff in her palace in death. The spire rises out of the Maelstrom, through Axis and finally comes to rest in it's own empty, starless plane. The centerpiece is Pharasma's palace, where the souls of the dead are judged and sent on their way. Most souls are sent to one of the other eight planes, and those who worship Pharasma (or one of the other TN gods) are sent to join their palace staff.
