Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark was born on Long Island in 1990, he was the son of genius Howard Stark and also idolized Captain America as a child, at age 2 he showed signs of enhanced intelligence. At age 15, Tony graduated High School and graduated College at age 18. At age 19, Tony took over the family business after his parents were killed in a car crash .
Birth of Iron Man
During a conflict in Afghanistan, Stark was captured by terrorists and, with a piece of shrapnel in his heart, was about to die. Constructing a suit of iron armor that would also help with his recovery , Stark broke out of captivity and journeyed back home to the United States where he built an advanced suit of armor and became the now famous superhero, Iron Man. Fresh off from defeating enemies all over the world , Stark reluctantly agreed to serve as a consultant to Nick Fury's peacekeeping intelligence agency S.H.I.E.L.D., hiring super-powered individuals to join the classified contract known as the Avengers Initiative.
Chitauri Invasion
Stark eventually was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson when he was in a date with his long-time assistant Pepper Potts, whom he started to had a relationship with, and joined the Avengers and helped defeat the Chitauri and Loki during the Battle of New York.
The Mandarin
Due to the battle, he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, leading him to create the Iron Legion. After the Battle on the Norco, the final event of Aldrich Killian's War, he destroyed all of his armors with the Clean Slate Protocol. Iron Man Armor
Iron Man's primary powers mostly come from his armored suit.
Suiting up the Iron Armor: The armor used to require several machines to put on the suit, in a lengthy process. Later, this was changed to having it in a suitcase, which shortened the suiting up time, but was not very effective on the battlefield.
