  • John T. Blue (born February 19, 1966 in Huntington Beach, California) is a former ice hockey goaltender. He was drafted in the tenth round, 197th overall, by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. He played 46 games in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres. He played for the University of Minnesota from 1984 to 1987 and was chosen 197th overall in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the Winnipeg Jets. Before turning pro he was the backup goalie for the United States in the 1988 Olympics.

He played for the University of Minnesota from 1984 to 1987 and was chosen 197th overall in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the Winnipeg Jets. Before turning pro he was the backup goalie for the United States in the 1988 Olympics. Blue spent his time in the minor pros until 1992-93 when he played in 23 games for the Boston Bruins. Despite some early promise, he was not able to make it as a regular with Boston. He played in 18 games the next season and then was traded to the Buffalo Sabres, where he played in 3 games. Blue remained in the minors until his retirement in 1997. He played for the United States in the 1990, 1992, and the 1997 World Championships.
