Gamma Corps was into production and had begun scripting when Earth's Mightiest Heroes began production. The executives thought folding the series was an opportunity to tell bigger stories beyond Hulk's universe. Joshua Fine said, "It became apparent to us that the creative work that was being done to bring Hulk’s world and his villains to life was too good to relegate to his universe alone, and would be much better suited as part of an full-on Avengers scenario." Nieli went to work on Earth's Mightiest Heroes. A series titled Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. was released, though it is unknown whether anything from Gamma Corps became Agents of S.M.A.S.H.
