  • A rat/scarab hybrid
  • Scrags (also known as marine trolls, aquatic trolls, sea scrags, and sea trolls) were an aquatic version of troll. There were two varieties: freshwater trolls and saltwater trolls.
  • File:Quake1.gif In Quake, a Scrag is a kind of floating creature resembling a white Cobra snake combined with a human torso that spits small yellowish green globs of poison spray at their opponents. These globs can last up to ten seconds if they do not collide with any entity or surface. In some places, the Scrag is known as a Wizard (for example, the Scrag model is stored in a file "wizard.mdl" inside PAK0.PAK). This is perhaps due to being influenced on the HP Lovecraft creature called the Wizard. The Scrag floats by means of a gas bladder. If the Scrag is killed, so is the bladder, causing it to fall to the ground.
  • Scrag war ein Mitglied von Bebop und Rocksteadys Gang in der 1987iger Zeichentrickserie und den daraus abgeleiteten Archie Comics.
  • There are many warrior-Banes of the Wyrm, and some of the best known are Scrags. Scrags are ghastly middling-Jaggling spirits of murder, known for having all the subtlety of that horrific act. The appear as ghoulish spirits, sickly green-grey with razor like claws and fangs. They move about like a Gorilla, on hands and knuckles in a perpetual slouch, though this belies their frightening speed and agility. Their violence is not held in check, and as soldiers, they engage in orgies of bloodlust.
  • Scrag was a member of Bebop and Rocksteady's Gang. He appeared in the 1987 TV series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures, and Turtles Forever. His name comes from a coloring book. He appears in Turtle Tracks and Enter the Shredder. He also has a Cameo in Turtles Forever and he is a mutant bat in Hot Rodding Teenagers from Dimension X and Shredder & Splintered. Also he appears in the Archie Comics "Heroes in a Half-Shell" mini-series.

Also he appears in the Archie Comics "Heroes in a Half-Shell" mini-series. It is unknown what happened to him after Shredder & Splintered, but it was shown that Scrag was briefly turned back into a human, when Shredder was on the TV Talking to the Turtles and Splinter and showed them what will happen if a mutant is hit by his Retromutagen Ray Generator. But he is seen as a bat again later when he is in a cage with the other mutants. Though he would be seen as a human again in Turtles Forever when the Turtles arrive in the dimension where the 80's Turtles reside and is seen on the streets with the Yellow Mowhawk Punk.

The first Scrag is said to have been born at the moment of the first murder. Like all stories in the legendary times, the details vary wildly between Tribes, including Cain and Able, the Slaughter of the Lamb, and the unspeakable crime committed by The First Ronin, depending one's Tribe and human culture. They are numerous near genocidal killing fields and the sites of lynchings, and other atrocities of the same nature. They tend to rove in packs when they can, descending on victims en mass to engage in a binge of death and dismemberment, frequently taunting their victims with macabre humour as they do. Scrags are also notable in two other ways. First, they tend to be known for their ability to Incite Frenzy in even the most mild of Garou. It is not uncommon for them to spark frenzy in one member of a pack, and then sit back as the pack is bloodied by violence among otherwise friends. Secondly, they are known for their different manner of Possession. They target hosts with violent tendencies, and slowly posses them until their victim appears to physically transform into the physical appearance of a Scrag two days later. While the transformation occurs, the hosts take on more and more characteristics of the personality of Scrags, until the are nothing more than Scrags, physically. Scrags frequently will de-possess their hosts after acts of unspeakable violence and mayhem, leaving them in full knowledge of their actions. Much of the exploits of possessed humans became the legends of Ghouls in previous eras, and in modern times, some of the many casual murder-sprees are derived from this possession (Although far from all, as many Humans are evil enough without needing aid).
