Lieutenant Ahn spent his time on the island as drunk as he could keep himself; nevertheless, he was an extremely capable weatherman, with a "nose" for predicting upcoming conditions that routinely outperformed the base computers. When he retired at the end of his twenty-year hitch, he declared that he was going to move to the equator to live.
