  • Can attack three party members at once with Triple Attack, but are not a big threat. File:FFT-enemy-Hydra.gif Rank II: Greater Hydra (Hydra) Greater Hydras can incinerate nearly any unit instantly from afar with the Tri-Flame attack. Wearing fire-absorbing armor can help alleviate the threat, while carefully picking spots with level adjacent ground to stand on will also reduce the chance of Tri-Flame actually hitting. File:FFT-enemy-Tiamat.gif Rank III: Tiamat Tiamats, quite simply, are nightmares. The first ones the players meet will likely have over 600 HP. Tri-Flame is as dangerous as ever, Tri-Thunder means fire-absorbing armor no longer suffices for complete protection, and Tri-Breath can decimate half the player's forces in one spew. The player will almost certainly want to get rid of these monsters right away, although taking the risk of an Entice can yield an unstoppable party member. It is important to note that since all types of Hydra are classified the same as Dragons, they can become unbelievably powerful with the boost from Reis's Dragoner skills.
