  • In Greek mythology, Euryale (Εὐρυάλη) (pronounced UR-RYE-AH-LE) was one of the two Immortal Gorgons, and one of three vicious sisters with brass hands, sharp fangs, and hair made of living, venomous snakes. Like her sisters, she was able to turn any creature into stone by her gaze. Her sister Stheno was also immortal, but Medusa, the last of the sisters, was Mortal. They were daughters of Phorcys and Ceto, or sometimes, Typhon and Echidna. In many stories, Euryale was noted for her bellowing cries, particularly in the tale of Medusa’s death at the hands of Perseus.

  • Euryale was one of three gorgons, creatures with snakes for hair, boarlike tusks, claws of bronze, and golden wings. The other gorgons were named Stheno and Medusa.
  • Second sister of the Medusa, the Euryale is considered the greatest threat of all within the Skyphos Genus. Like the Stheno its toxin acts as a paralytic agent against both flesh and metals. Though smallest of the three Skyphos sisters, the Euryale has the most voracious appetite, continually migrating through the Pardus Cluster feasting upon anything and everything that draws near. * Disposition: Predatory * Rarity: Rare * Region: Pardus Cluster
  • They act about the same as a normal medusa. They generally try to move closer to their target, and do not use any other kind of attack despite their warmage class.

  • They act about the same as a normal medusa. They generally try to move closer to their target, and do not use any other kind of attack despite their warmage class.
  • Sometime in ancient Greece, Euryale ruled over all magical beings with Fury and Medusa. She was overthrown by a warrior, presumed to be the Greek hero Perseus, who used the Gorgon sisters' own reflection to defeat them. They were turned to stone due to their spell backfiring at them. Euryale and her sisters then remained imprisoned as marble statues for hundreds of years. It is currently unknown how exactly Euryale ends up in New York City, but it is possible that, like her sisters, she was mistaken for an ancient Greek sculpture and shipped to North America. She could have also been moved by magical means. She ultimately ends up being used as a fountain ornament inside a company building called "Vidal Gorgon Industries" in Manhattan. In her first appearance, she is awakened by Fury and assists her sister in her quest to reunite with the last Gorgon, Medusa. She is later defeated by Jake and his friends: she turns to stone after a feud with her sisters and sinks at the bottom of the Hudson River. In her second appearance, Euryale is once again freed by Fury and embarks on a quest to get rid of the American Dragon and rule the world. However, her freedom is short-lived, for she is turned to stone again and sinks back into the river on the very same day.
  • Euryale was one of the first werewolves of the Black Furies tribe.
  • Euryale and her sister Stheno awakened and seek to brought back their dead sister Medusa. They made the sorceress Circe to revive Medusa and she accepted. Using the severed head of Medusa, Circe manage to brought her back to life but only her head was "alive". Circe picked the request by the latter and the Gorgon sisters attacked the sorceress but she fend them off, but they were interrupted by God Poseidon who persuaded Circe to help the Gorgons so they can have revenge on the Amazons for Lyta's death. Circe demanded to bring Medusa's bones and she revived her correctly. So the Gorgon sisters helped Circe to make Wonder Woman suffer.
