Amadeus was deployed along with his three-man team shortly after augmentations: the team would operate behind enemy lines for six months before participating in several covert operations during the Battle of Earth. After the Covenant's defeat, D'Souza redeployed Amadeus' team along with a replacement member to ensure that his illegal company was not seen. When Operation: VORAUSSICHT began to heat up, D'Souza went dark and transferred all his liquid supplies and assets to secure locations, leaving his SPARTAN teams at the mercy of fate. Abandoned behind enemy lines, Amadeus would be the sole survivor of his team, only barely making it back to UNSC space with one other teammate, Conner-D003: when the pair arrived, they were seen as a threat by VORAUSSICHT operatives, leading to a large misunderstanding a firefight, ending in Conner's death.
