Possibly, very powerful wizards live longer than muggles due to the powerful magic inherent in their blood. For wizards in the medieval times, they lived for about the same time as contemporary muggles, as long as they weren't burnt at a stake or stoned to death. Nicolas Flammel lived for 666 years, though this was due to his invention the Philosophers' Stone. Through this stone, he was able to create the Elixir of Immortality which kept both he and his wife alive.
