Understand if you do, you do so at your risk, code changes couldcause such a character to become corrupted or deleted. If this occurs, therewill be no compensation for characters lost. The Administration reserves the right to deny the use of any name withoutcompensation. This means that if you make a character and level it up, anadministrator can ask you to delete the character and start over. • The first step in creating a character is choosing an Empire. In PlanetSide 2, which empire the player decides on means a lot more than just which color armor they will wear. Each of the three iconic Empires has access to unique weapons, vehicles, abilities and more. In choosing an Empire, the player is really choosing a play-style that will mold a character throughout its entire lifetime. Visiting the Empires page will give the player access to not only a quick debriefing of each Empire's strengths, weaknesses, and philosophies in greater detail but also the full history and lore for PlanetSide 2 in the Rise of the Empires section or a quick view of history found in the Timeline of Events section. * File:Icon TR.png Terran Republic – The Terran Republic’s philosophy of warfare stresses top of the line conventional technology. Their tactics rely on the allowance of maximum sustainable damage, rapid fire rates with less damage output, and high ammo capacity weapons systems. They also have moderately armored vehicles which are the fastest on the field. * File:Icon NC.png New Conglomerate – The New Conglomerate’s philosophy of warfare stresses brute force, so their tactics rely upon heavy tanks, hard-hitting weapons systems, and shields. Their objective is to smash the enemy during initial contact before they can react. * File:Icon VS.png Vanu Sovereignty – The Vanu Sovereignty’s philosophy of warfare stresses that technology equals might, and their tactics rely on energy-based weapons using plasma-like ammunition; their guns have less recoil, no bullet drop, and very good accuracy. Their wide armory allow the Vanu to outfit themselves for more situations than their competition. Once the player has selected an Empire, hit Next to proceed. This is where Server Selection occurs. With the selection of each server there is a chart that also appears to the right indicating the current mix of empires on that server. While playing on a server where your Empire choice is outnumbered will give the player an experience bonus in the short term, it likely will not have any long term benefits as more players continue to join and balance out the server mixes. Once a server has been selected, choose 'Next' to proceed. Now the player is provided options to choose their character’s gender, face and name before launching into the game itself. There is also an optional tutorial to help you get started. To skip the tutorial, click the box near the bottom of the screen before clicking finish, however it is recommended that all new soldiers complete the tutorial. Once the character is customized to the player’s liking proceed into the game by choosing Finish. When the player first loads into the game be prepared to be immediately thrust into the heart of some action. The players standard movement keys include Forward/Up W, Right D, Left A and Backwards/Down S. (PS4: File:Ps3 l-stick.pngLeft Joystick for Moving and Strafe. File:Ps3 r-stick.pngRight Joystick for Rotation). They player can jump by hitting the spacebar or sprint by holding Shift along with a movement key. Once behind some cover the player can take a breath and get their bearings. The New Player Experience, as this transition into the world is termed, gives the player a chance to jump right into the thick of things. The encounter the player is transported into can be anywhere in the world there is a Hot Spot for action happening, and two friends logging in together may go to entirely different continents and places of action. Many players will enjoy being thrust into the action, and it certainly will help players get a quicker feel for combat. However, if the player would like a slightly calmer entrance into the war, hit Esc and log out of the game (PS4: click File:Playstation-Button-Touchpad.pngtouchpad then File:Ps3 square.pngsquare to re-deploy. The default redeploy is the warpgate. Hit x to re-deploy there). Then logging back in will teleport the player to the Warp Gate of the continent they first appeared on. The player can also hit ESC then hit the deploy button to jump to another area on the map. The deploy button does use a timer. A Warp Gate is a protected area that cannot be captured or controlled by enemy Empires, however, enemy players may enter the Warp Gate areas. This is important to be aware of as there may be an enemy sniper with sights already set on characters just warping in. Warp Gates will also serve to be the transition point for characters to travel to different continents. For more information about Warp Gates and to read up on the other types of bases found in PlanetSide 2 click here: PS2 World & Base Overview

  • Every empire in Galactic Wars needs mines and other simple buildings to get started , there are three types of mines: - Metal mine Metal is the primary resource used in the foundation of your Planet. At greater depths, the mines can produce more output of viable metal for use in the construction of buildings, ships, defense systems, and research. As the mines drill deeper, more energy is required for maximum production. . - Crystal mine Crystals are the main resource used to build electronic circuits for computers and other electronic circuits and form certain alloy compounds for shields. Compared to the metal production process, the processing of raw crystalline structures into industrial crystals requires special processing. As such, more energy is required to process the raw crystal than needed for metal. Development of ships and buildings, and specialized research upgrades, require a certain (big) quantity of crystals. - Deuterium mine Deuterium is also called heavy hydrogen. It is a stable isotope of hydrogen with a natural abundance in the oceans of colonies of approximately one atom in 6500 of hydrogen (~154 PPM).Deuterium is processed by special synthesizers which can separate the water from the Deuterium using specially designed centrifuges. The upgrade of the synthesizer allows for increasing the amount of Deuterium deposits processed. Deuterium is used when carrying out sensor phalanx scans, viewing galaxies, as fuel for ships, and performing specialized research upgrades. In order to power the mines you'll need a big canity of energy, which can come from other three different sources: - Solar plant Gigantic solar arrays are used to generate power for the mines and the deuterium synthesizer. As the solar plant is upgraded, the surface area of the photovoltaic cells covering the planet increases, resulting in a higher energy output across the power grids of your planet. - Fusion Reactor (Requires: Deuterium Synthesizer level 5, Energy Technology level 3) In fusion power plants, hydrogen nuclei are fused into helium nuclei under enormous temperature and pressure, releasing tremendous amounts of energy. For each gram of Deuterium consumed, up to 41,32*10^-13 Joule of energy can be produced; with 1 g you are able to produce 172 MWh energy. Larger reactor complexes use more deuterium and can produce more energy per hour. The energy effect could be increased by researching energy technology. The energy production of the fusion plant is calculated like that: 30 * [Level Fusion Plant] * (1,05 + [Level Energy Technology] * 0,01) ^ [Level Fusion Plant] - Solar Satellite (Requires Shipyard level 1) Solar Satellites gather solar energy and transmit it to a ground station using advanced laser technology. The efficiency of a solar satellite depends on the strength of the solar radiation it receives. In principle, energy production in orbits closer to the sun is greater than for planets in orbits distant from the sun. Since the satellites primary goal is the transmission of energy, they lack shielding and weapons capability, and because of this they are usually destroyed in large numbers in a major battle. However they do possess a small self-defense mechanism to defend itself in an espionage mission from an enemy empire if the mission is detected. Now, I want to recommend you to build buildings like this: - Solar plant level 1 - Metalmine level 1 - Crystalmine level 1 - Solar plant level 2 - Metalmine level 2 - and Crystalmine level 2 Continue until you have: - Solar plant level 10 - Metalmine level 10 - Crystalmine level 10 Now you need deuterium to build the Robotics Factory so make: - Solar plant level 15 - Deuterium level 5 Now you got all the needed kind of ressources for Robotics Factory so make it - Robotics Factory level 10 Now you will need both to research and build ships at: - Research Lab level 5 - Shipyard level 6 Now you need nanite to reduce production time: - Computer technology level 10 (research) - Nanite level 1 Now you need another colony so you will extend your empire - Energy technology level 1 (research) - Impulse Drive level 3 (research) Repeat this on all 20 colonies, don't keep anything lower than 250. This will get you started, you just have to increase the level of your mines and nanites as much as you can afford so you will have resources and the building time will be as low as posible.

  • Next Page - A First Lesson in Command
  • Before getting started with actual examples, here are a few notes on conventions. First, command lines and sequences take the same arguments on all supported operating environments, including Linux, Windows and the various Unix systems. When an example command is shown in a figure, the generic prompt character "% " takes the place of whatever prompt string is appropriate for your system. Under Windows, the commands are invoked in a command window. Second, when creating a file to hold Verilog code, it is common to use the ".v" or the ".vl" suffix. This is not a requirement imposed by Icarus Verilog, but a useful convention. Some people also use the suffixes ".ver" or even ".vlg". Examples in this book will use the ".v" suffix. So let us start. Given that you are going to use Icarus Verilog as part of your design process, the first thing to do as a designer is learn how to compile and execute even the most trivial design. For the purposes of simulation, we use as our example the most trivial simulation, a simple Hello, World program. module main; initial begin $display("Hello, World"); $finish ; end endmodule Use a text editor to place the program in a text file, hello.v, then compile this program with the command: % iverilog -o hello hello.v The results of this compile are placed into the file "hello", because the "-o" flag tells the compiler where to place the compiled result. Next, execute the compiled program like so: % vvp hello Hello, World And there it is, the program has been executed. So what happened? The first step, the "iverilog" command, read and interpreted the source file, then generated a compiled result. The compiled form may be selected by command line switches, but the default is the "vvp" format, which is actually run later, as needed. The "vvp" command of the second step interpreted the "hello" file from the first step, causing the program to execute. The "iverilog" and "vvp" commands are the most important commands available to users of Icarus Verilog. The "iverilog" command is the compiler, and the "vvp" command is the simulation runtime engine. What sort of output the compiler actually creates is controlled by command line switches, but normally it produces output in the default vvp format, which is in turn executed by the vvp program. As designs get larger and more complex, they gain hierarchy in the form of modules that are instantiated within other modules. And as designs start including lots of modules, it becomes convenient to organize them into multiple files. A common convention is to write one moderate sized module per file (or group related tiny modules into a single file) then combine the files of the design together during compilation. For example, the counter model in counter.v: module counter(out, clk, reset); parameter WIDTH = 8; output [WIDTH-1 : 0] out; input clk, reset; reg [WIDTH-1 : 0] out; wire clk, reset; always @(posedge clk) out <= out + 1; always @reset if (reset) assign out = 0; else deassign out; endmodule // counter and the test bench in counter_tb.v: module test; /* Make a reset that pulses once. */ reg reset = 0; initial begin # 17 reset = 1; # 11 reset = 0; # 29 reset = 1; # 11 reset = 0; # 100 $stop; end /* Make a regular pulsing clock. */ reg clk = 0; always #5 clk = !clk; wire [7:0] value; counter c1 (value, clk, reset); initial $monitor("At time %t, value = %h (%0d)", $time, value, value); endmodule // test are written into different files. The "iverilog" command supports multi-file designs by two methods. The simplest is to list the files on the command line: % iverilog -o my_design counter_tb.v counter.v % vvp my_design This command compiles the design, which is spread across two input files, and generates the compiled result into the "my_design" file. This works for small to medium sized designs, but gets cumbersome when there are lots of files. Another technique is to use a commandfile, which lists the input files in a text file. For example, create a text file called "file_list.txt" with the files listed one per line: counter.v counter_tb.v Then compile and execute the design with a command like so: % iverilog -o my_design -c file_list.txt % vvp my_design The command file technique clearly supports much larger designs simply by saving you the trouble of listing all the source files on the command line. Name the files that are part of the design in the command file and use the "-c" flag to tell iverilog to read the command file as a list of Verilog input files. As designs get more complicated, they almost certainly contain many Verilog modules that represent the hierarchy of your design. Typically, there is one module that instantiates other modules but is not instantiated by any other modules. This is called a root module. Icarus Verilog chooses as roots (There can be more than one root) all the modules that are not instantiated by other modules. If there are no such modules, the compiler will not be able to choose any root, and the designer must use the "-sroot" switch to identify the root module, like this: % iverilog -s main -o hello hello.v If there are multiple candidate roots, all of them will be elaborated. The compiler will do this even if there are many root modules that you do not intend to simulate, or that have no effect on the simulation. This can happen, for example, if you include a source file that has multiple modules, but are only really interested in some of them. The "-s" flag identifies a specific root module and also turns off the automatic search for other root modules. You can use this feature to prevent instantiation of unwanted roots. As designs get even larger, they become spread across many dozens or even hundreds of files. When designs are that complex, more advanced source code management techniques become necessary. These are described in later chapters, along with other advanced design management techniques supported by Icarus Verilog.

In the case of Indus, this is more important as there are already a variety of programming languages that implement programming models across various paradigms. The rationale for creating Indus is to address the following requirements

  • The Chronicles of Spellborn gives players a vast array of possibilities in creating their character from neat and handsome to muscle-bound and mean. At the beginning, players decide about playing one of the two main races, Daevi or Human. The appearance of fundamental races and their three subclasses warrior, spellcaster and rogue can be tweaked as you wish. From gender to body type, skin colour, facial expression, hair style and colour to tattoos or in-game voice, players can choose from a huge amount of variations. But creating an individual character does not stop in look and physiognomy. In The Chronicles of Spellborn players can even choose armour and weapons right from the start. There are no class or races restrictions. You can choose to look cool and impressive straight at level one. Spellcasters can wear heavy armour and warriors can look skinny and wear no armour at all, if desired. Dress to Impress — What it really means. 1. Right at character creation, you can choose from a large variety of clothing and armour, i.e. there is no “newbie clothing”. In other words, “you can look cool right from the start” 2. Pick a ranged and a melee weapon from a vast assortment. Your attacks are based on Skills (like “Slash”). Such Skills can be executed with any melee weapon, be it a long-sword, double axe or dagger. That means, you can freely pick any weapon that looks cool on your avatar. When a Skill is executed, the avatar will automatically equip the designated weapon. E.g. when you use “shoot” the avatar will switch to his range weapon. With the weapon choice, you also determine your visual fighting style (one-handed, one-handed-with-shield, two-hander). 3. You can wear the weapons and armours in any situation you want, because you can upgrade and customise them. You do not need to switch to uglier equipment because it is “better”. It means that even the short dagger from character creation can become your personal “epic” weapon if you upgrade it with powerful sigils. It doesn’t mean that you have it all instantly — you may have to find a place to retrofit weapons/armours with sigils. 4. When you like “statistics” of one item, you can take it over to another item (because they are kept in Sigils). When you like the appearance of an item, you can also combine it with the “statistics” (e.g. Sigils) of another item. In any way, you can combine appearance and function the way you want. 5. “Dress to impress” does NOT mean that items will never have statistics. For instance, the player can add sigils and place them into weapon and jewellery to enhance its character attributes, or affinities. If the player prefers the other appearance of a newly looted weapon, it is also possible to remove Sigils from the old weapon and to put them on the new loot.

  • That's all you have to do to get started. We've got a provisional approval system that allows newbies onto the grid without requiring an approved biography so that it's possible to dip your toe in without jumping fully into the pool. Once you're comfortable enough to complete the application process, just use the +str system to submit a biography for consideration. Staffers try to respond to applications within 48 hours. +str is a Staff Request system - type +str/help in-game to get more information.

  • Please go to this link before you launch Project Powder so you will not encounter any problems: http://projectpowder.wikia.com/wiki/System_Requirements. Once you launch the game client and get past the Loading Screen, you will come across the Character Creation Screen. Choose from 3 different characters to find one that best expresses your style. You’ll be able to choose from several pieces of gear to protect yourself in the cold. Once you have created your character, you will then be directed towards the "Game Start" screen. This screen has the huge revolving globe floating on it. Press the "Game Start" button to direct yourself to the main interface screen. The Main Interface Screen is where everything starts for you. Here, you'll be able to chat with friends and your guild, create your own room to race in, join other channels designed for higher-level players, and learn new tricks. 1. There are currently 5 overall channels seen in Project Powder. These channels are as follows: Landisis (Level 1-5) Heavenia (Level 1-11) Planeta (Free Level) Stariv (have not been implemented in yet) Galaxia (have not been implemented in yet) Depending on what your current level is, you can join any of the above channels. 2. The Tutorial brings you to a screen where you will be able to learn all of the basic tricks needed to be able to race. Go to the Tutorial Guide for more information. 3. The Create Room button will direct you to a panel that will allow you to create your own room to race in. You have the following options: Select the Game Type (Single or Team Race, Battle, or Coin). Basically the top row gives you the options of whether you want to race individually with other players or race in a team with other players. The bottom row gives the options of how you want to race....race mode, battle mode, or coin mode. So you have to click on one option on the top row and one option on the bottom row. The Number of Players is pretty self-explanatory. You have the option of choosing between 2,4,6, and 8 players to race with you in your room. And the last one...obviously if you want to have your room password protected so that you can race with somebody personal, whether it be a GM or someone else, you can just type in the password you want and the room will be locked to you and whoever else you want to know the password. 4. The Trick Tree brings you to a panel where you will have the chance to learn new tricks to be able to use while race against other players. Please read the Trick Tree guide for more information. 5. The Gift Box is just a panel that shows you what items you have bought from the Shop. Anything you buy from the Shop will get sent to this panel. Once this happens, you will be able to select which ones you want to use. 6. The Game Mode menu will give you options on what types of races you will be able to join in. Currently, the following modes exist and are playable: Single Coin Team Coin Single Race Team Race Single Battle Team Battle Direct yourself to the Game Modes Section of this wiki for more information. The Create Room option...go back to number 3 :) The With Friends option is currently not implemented yet but I am assuming that this feature will allow you to create a room that only you and your friends can race in together. 7. The Chat box allows you to chat to anyone in your guild and/or in the Cafe, which is just the area of the chat that lets you chat with everybody on your current channel. 8. The Guild Management area lets you create a new guild. Click on the magnifying glass to see your guild bulletin, which is just a shoutbox where you can chat with your other guild mates. If you haven't create a guild or joined a guild yet, you will see the Create a guild panel. The Search/Join tab is self-explanatory. It will let you Search for and Join any guild that currently exists in the game. The Rank section shows you what level you are in comparison to your other guild mates. The highest level guild player is at #1 while the lowest level guild player is at last place. The Information section allows you to see the basic information about your current guild such as who owns the guild, how many members are in your guild, etc. The Admin section is self-explanatory. Only the administrators (people who help manage the guild) of the guild get to access this section.
  • Volunteering your efforts and insights to a grass-roots, yet international, multi-sport, internet project can be intimidating. This page helps you figure out what to do and how you can help. This step-by-step introduction to the site should give new visitors an idea of how to go forward. You should be able to go through all of these steps in about 30 minutes, but if you don't have that much time right now, do as much as you can, and you can pick up where you left off later. If for any reason you have problems with any of these steps, send us an email at help@CLOH.Org. Our administrators will be happy to help you through the process, and we can use the opportunity to improve this documentation.

  • One of the best guides to starting out in the world of Dofus is the Incarnam floating island that replaced the old Tutorial. See Incarnam#First steps for some tips on how to start playing Dofus. It is a good place for new players to get used to fighting enemies and teaming up. Players can join forces against monsters by having one player start the battle, then allowing others to jump in by clicking on the sword that appears to mark the battle. Note : The world of Dofus is populated by many, many players from countries all over the world. Not all players will speak English. Some may be friendly and helpful, others may not. If you happen to encounter a player who is NOT friendly or helpful, ignoring them or avoiding them is probably for the best.
  • Welcome to Luna Online: Reborn. This is a short guide about beginning the game which briefly explains game controls and mechanism.
  • You are in rags, standing on the edge of what seems to be a floating island, next to a rock and a large castle. You have no idea what to do! This guide will help you get started. You can click on the item button bring up your inventory/also known as Display. You can also do this with other players. You will first see that you have no money whatsoever. You can sell items through the Vendor wearing a Turban in any Tower. Remember: there are real players looking in the Merchant Guild, it is not a NPC trader. So do not sell overpriced- a good price for most items you obtain when you just start is 0.02G (lowest). Gold may be hard to get in this game - so spend it wisely! Second, you'll see you are currently wearing Vagabond Shirt and Vagabond Pants. You might want clothes, weapons, not to be called Apprentice. This can all be accomplished through synthesis.
