  • Henry Knight was a U.S. Senator and a father of socialite Sandra Knight, who, unbeknown to him, was the Phantom Lady. He presumably represented the state of Maryland (seeing as how he had a home there). He served as a senator for at least ten years (as of 1942). Prior to becoming a Senator, he was a lawyer and later a judge. While he was not a fighter, he was capable of defending himself when necessary. Knight enjoyed a great deal of respect and trust among the members of the U.S. government. The president of United States assigned him to undertake highly sensitive diplomatic missions on several occasions.

Knight enjoyed a great deal of respect and trust among the members of the U.S. government. The president of United States assigned him to undertake highly sensitive diplomatic missions on several occasions. Henry Knight was a part of Phantom Lady's supporting cast for her entire publication history, appearing in some capacity or another in every one of her story. In spite of the fact that Phantom Lady barely bothered to conceal her identity, he remained none the wiser. He was very protective of his daughter, and while respected the law, he never hesitated to use his position to help her out.
