abstract
  • Daily broadcasts were a form of entertainment from Malcor III that were likely very similar to television programs on Earth. Such broadcasts were known to feature various works of fiction that many Malcorians found "interesting." When Chancellor Avel Durken of Malcor III decided that it wasn't time for his people to learn that aliens exist in the universe, he told Captain Jean-Luc Picard that although there would be stories told of the Enterprise's visit for years to come, over time, such interest in those stories would pass, and people would return to watching their favorite shows of the daily broadcasts, rather than worry about aliens on their world.
