| History | - Before the Summer 2007 update, this "spear" was an Axe Weapon, it is now a Distance Weapon. At this same time, its weight was changed from 80.00 oz to 22.00 oz. Also before this update, this "spear" was not stackable, and now it is. Another significant change from this update is that before the Summer 2007 update, the NPC Brengus would buy them for 250gp each. Now they can only be sold for 25gp each.
They also changed image, from leaning to left to right.

| Notes | - As with all the "non-magical" spears, these have a rather limited range of 3 squares. They are preferred by paladins however, because they do considerably more damage, yet weigh only slightly more, than regular spears. As far as spears go, they are the best upgrade the paladin will see. These are a good choice as a distance weapon until level requirements are met, at which point a paladin ought to use Royal Spears instead. Tests demonstrate a 5.4% breakage on these.
