| abstract | - CT-8963 or Fill, is a member of Metal Squad, a unit of Jango Fett clones in active military service as a mercenary force. Fill is known for his skill at piloting various types of aircraft, a trait which most Troopers never had, and which most normal soldiers still do not. His squad mates often joke that he was a Clone Pilot accidentally assigned to the Troopers. Fill's flying skills came in handy when Metal Squad was escaping from the 314th Assault Battalion on Kulama, where he piloted an LAAT gunship and provided close air support for Metal and also provided an opportunity to mask the death of his Jedi commander Knight Koln. Fill has been almost overdrilled with regulations and military protocol, so he is often heard commenting on the battlefield about how the situation should be handled properly, or can be heard repeating every order given to the squad, which has proven far more than irritating to Metal over the course of years they have served with him. Nevertheless, Fill knows not to mistake the annoyance of his brothers towards him as hatred, for if they indeed did, he would never have stayed in the squad in the first place. Fill also has all the traits that make for a fine eddition to Metal Squad: Courage, loyalty, the will to sacrifice yourself for your brothers if need be and following the morally right orders to the letter. When the Second Galactic Civil War began, Fill and Metal Squad defected from the Special Forces and instead joined the Mandalorian Protectors, whom they already held a strong brotherhood with from their days of fighting together in the Yuuhzan Vong War.
