  • The Star Wars: Battlefront series consists of seven installments: two baseline games, three spin offs, one reboot and its sequel.
  • The Star Wars: Battlefront series is a series of games published by LucasArts. They feature combat modes seen in few games, and as the series develops more customizable options become available. The series is a first-third person shooter, and has plots and battle relating to the films it promotes. The first game, Star Wars: Battlefront, was released in 2004 and in late 2004, LucasArts released the Star Wars Battlefront BFBuilder, an unsupported mod that allowed fans to create new battlefields for Battlefront I. A sequel, Star Wars: Battlefront II, was released on November 1, 2005 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. A second sequel, Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron was released in October 2007. A third sequel, Star Wars: Battlefront III, is said to be in development for the Xbox 360 and PC by the developer Free Radical. It will be produced by DICE, who also created the Battlefield series. It will actually be called Star Wars: Battlefront , without any numerical coding. Also, the original installments in the series were removed from the Star Wars website and now only the new game is there. It will be released in December to coincide with the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
