  • Hellhounds in SoulSplit are considered the best NPC/Monster to kill when hunting (hard) Clue Scrolls. They have the highest number of killed to number of clues out of any other monster. They also drop an assortment of herblore secondary, and all farming herb and tree seeds. They can be located in Taverly Dungeon in the very back (North-West of the spawn location if you have high enough agility). (The dungeon can be reached by Dungeon Teleports > Last page > Taverly Dungeon)
  • What type of pet do Daemons keep? Hellhounds! These fiery dogs come from the same extradimensional plane as their masters and are quite dangerous. Immune to any fire damage thanks to their nature, their bites and fire breath can prove to be lethal. Also they act as bodyguards for their masters, shielding them from damage. They are found near lava and in the company of Daemons. They appeared only in Ultima IX: Ascension, but they are not necessarily a new species; pictures of Hellhounds were seen in the Void in both Ultima Underworld I and II.
  • The Hellhounds are a Chaos Space Marine Warband of great infamy for they have drowned whole worlds in great episodes of violence and bloodshed. These bloodthirsty marauders and pyromaniacs were once some of the most devout and honored Space Marines in the Imperium, known as the Battle Borne. Now they are nothing but a feral pack of butchers and madmen, burning whole worlds for no greater reason than to sew madness and death in the name of their patron, Khorne.
  • Hellhounds are ballistic and maniacal canine-like beasts of the supernatural world, specifically Hell (hence the name), which are known to serve demons. Described as demonic pitbulls, hellhounds are ferocious, terrifying entities that inspire fear in humans, demons and even angels. According to Crowley, no demon knows the hounds better than him. As the "Demonic pit bulls" of Hell, Hellhounds are also one of the most recurring supernatural creatures in the series.

Text
  • Born of lava and fire, the hellhound brings the vitriol of the Pit to the material plane. If his fearsome demeanour does not paralyse a warrior, his fiery breath may burn one to the ground. Magical incantations of fire are without use, yet attacks of water and icy magic are quite effective.

With time they became tasked with collecting the souls of humans whose deals are come due. In such circumstances, hellhounds can only be seen by those whom they have come for, making them a sort of Reaper of the damned. In later seasons, hellhounds are seen working for various other demons (not just Crossroads demons), usually acting as foot soldiers, guard dogs and/or assassins. According to Crowley, no demon knows the hounds better than him. As the "Demonic pit bulls" of Hell, Hellhounds are also one of the most recurring supernatural creatures in the series.
