What if Otonashi was still alive, and what would happened if Kanade isn't an angel and only called herself Darlton? From this, the world of Angel Beats has gone into Sci-Fi themes and the rest of the GW Universe as major story. With a major faction known as Organization of the Zodiac, all characters involved in the plot change, and some of the characters and factions do not appear at all including Afterlife (which dead characters appears in this universe) and Mars Century (set outside Earth). In other words, if you thought Kanade Tachibana was an organic characters as an expy to Heero Yuy, this story has taken one of the most dramatic Gundam series and made it Darker and Edgier.
