  • The Bastion is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
  • The Bastion is a tower located in the Imperial City Prison District. The tower stands in the middle of the district.
  • The Goblin Bastion was a series of rooms inhabited by a troop of Goblins. The Great Downward Engineering Company set off an alarm early on when they launched their assault, and were forced to fight all of the inhabitants of the level in room 21. The Great Downward Engineering Company won, but it was a close fight. The area is currently inhabited by Agamemnon's followers. The odd shape seems to do with the rock formation. The area was once a cave system, with all the soft rock mined away by the goblins, with little thought for layout. Note

  • The Bastion is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
1. * Entrance room. Some empty boxes have been stacked to make some crude fortifications 2. * Storage room for building materials and furniture. Not really in use. 3. * Once a planeshift to a pocket-plane containing a jungle, a curtain has been hung and the room converted into a meditation chamber 4. * As 2. 5. * Once the Worg's room, this room is now a dorm for the inhabitants that don't care for privacy while sleeping. The room is naturally heated by it's proximity to room 7. 6. * "The warm hallway", this is the congregating place of choice when it gets cold. 7. * Once the site of a very nice set of bronze gates, this area has been refitted with iron gates, to separate the bastion from the Prison of Time (and all that Lava). The Prison is regularly patrolled, and the fire crabs have begun to replenish their numbers. 8. * The Smokehouse. Once cheffit's home, this is now a securable storage area. 9. * The strong door on this room makes it a good armory. 10. * The "Haunted" room. This room has a terrible reputation, caused by a pair of young phase spiders that used to lair in it. Now it is used as a gaol of sorts. 11. * Rest area for guards and active patrols. 12. * Refectory. This rooms is the communal dining area for all in the bastion. It has been fitted with basic furniture 13. * Kitchen (including a chimney). This has been fitted with enough basics to cook enough food for everyone. 14. * Larder, and storeroom. 15. * Break room. A table and some cards can be found here. 16. * This used to be a pressure-pad maze, made by the goblins. The trap has been kept (although the poison gas canisters have been removed) and the whole thing has been made into a physical-training course. It takes just over 2 minutes to complete, and involves a series of back-and-forth-sprints, followed by wall climbing, monkey bars and ropes, before ending in another set of sprints. 17. * Weapons training area. A few straw dummies have been set up, and a range of training weapons line the walls. 18. * A deep 10ftx10ft pit in the middle of the room was one a nasty trap. Now half filled with water, it serves as a climbing trainer and meditation place, for those who like to meditate while floating. 19. * Library/study area. The library is quite sparce (Add in any books you've found for the collection). 20. * Chapel. Altars have been set up to Darach'Albeth, Mitra, Muir, Thyr, and possibly some others. The north wall has a speaker's podium, and the room is lightly decorated with holy symbols and some fabrics 21. * This large space has been separated by simple wooden dividers. At night it functions as a large sleeping space with some amount of privacy. During the day, the dividers are cleared away and the area is used for sparring, speaking or philosphical debates, depending on the day. The long passage in the south-east is used as a small archery range. Note * The Bastion is the countryside, 90 minutes walk from Castle Grey * The stairs leading down to Level 10B (on the map) is the Goblin Outpost. It takes 6 hours to descend the stairs. Level 5A is the Prison of Time (with all the lava). * Gabriel * Mazzie, a goblin cleric (5th level). Mazzie lived at the bastion while it was still under goblin control. Finding her faith failing, she left to go on a quest to rediscover her faith. The journey was fruitless, and Mazzie returned to find the bastion no longer under goblin control. She has elected to hang around, and no one has (yet) asked her to leave.
