The Archmage appeared to keep their allegiance through a combination of incentive and intimidation. During his reign the dark Gods especially favoured Mampang with their attentions, protecting it from the intrusion of hostile deities. However, the Archmage was destined to meet his end at the hands of an Analander sent to recover the Crown of Kings from him. The status of Mampang and its denizens after the fall of the Archmage is unknown.
