They only turn them off, however, instead of preventing the player from using them for a while. A player facing this special attack can therefore set Quick Prayers and click them again immediately, or by putting the Prayer Icon (the icon near the Map) in their attack bar. Aquanites' attacks can hit fairly hard and are relatively accurate, but with the use of a healing familiar or similar methods, players may fight for long periods of time. However, it is possible to use protection prayer, since your prayer is only be deactivated for a second, and so gear with high prayer bonus may also be worn. Keep in mind that protection/deflect prayers block only 50% of the damage you receive, so melee armours are not recommended for medium-levelled players who want to 'tank' Aquanites.
