It is a fish-shaped submarine where Baron hides after his defeat in KAOS Kore. The sub is accessed by beating all Krematoa levels and giving all the cogs to Boomer. With all the Cogs, Boomer will use them to activate the machine, which causes Krematoa to return to volcanic activity and reveal the submarine.
- The Knautilus is Baron K. Roolenstein's submarine and is the boss area of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. The submarine was submerged until Dixie and Kiddy made it surface. When K. Rool is in the background, the Kongs must throw a Steel Keg into a vacuum on the ceiling which, with good timing, it hits K. Rool's propeller pack. He then alternates between the foreground and background, so the tactics shall change. Eventually, he stays in the foreground and uses electricity to shock the Kongs. They have to go to the other side of the Steel Keg and wait for it to absorb the electricity. Then they can throw the barrel at K. Rool, after which he loses control of his propeller pack and then the fight is over.
