When Astrid asks Meruru to test the potion, she panics and ends up breaking the vial with the potion. Astrid tells Meruru that she must remake the potion herself. The first step in recreating the Potion of Youth is to modify the already existing Elixir recipe. After doing a lot of research, Meruru will figure out a way to use ingredients to modify the original Elixir recipe. With a Drachen Elixir, Secret Remedy and Unicorn Horn, Meruru will be able to create her own modified elixir, the Merulixir. Aside from being used for the ending, Merulixir can also be used as as healing item. It can be used as a good alternative for the Elixir, and functions very much the same. It can revive downed party members and heal large amounts of HP, LP and MP.
