| abstract | - Shijin Shūshin (四神衆真, Four Divine Beasts, Reality of the People) is the signature Genjutsu of Nisei no Akagami. It was one brought about in his childhood, and initially manifested as an unconscious demonstration of his powers. Later on, after receiving the memories stored deep within him by his parents, Akagami demonstrated a much more practical use of the technique, and allowed him to activate it within his own subconscious, and afflict the minds of others equally and without fail. Shijin Shūshin works on the principle that states "if one man states he is an illusion, another man will be inclined to try and perceive that illusion. In the attempt to perceive this illusion, the illusion will undoubtedly come to them. It is only a matter of wording." In essence, Shijin Shūshin is a Genjutsu that utilizes Akagami's clever speech patterns in combination with his powerful Yin in order to conjure four separate beasts from the four pieces of origami he keeps within himself: Suzaku of Red Wings, Seiryū of Blue Tail, Genbu of Black Scales and Byakkō of White Fangs. These four spirits are the ones which he conjured when he was a young boy within his imagination in order to gain some sort of communication with other people, not knowing these individuals were extensions of himself. However, Shijin Shūshin can only be activated through the employment of deception. In order to do this, Akagami regularly calls the technique . Doing so allows him to transmit the Genjutsu highly effectively, summoning these creatures within the opponent(s) consciousness easily. Each creature possesses a unique personality and set of abilities which allows Akagami to play with the mental state of the opponent to the point where they would succumb to a wide variety of psychological disorders by the end of the Genjutsu.
