Little did they know, Narikyō idolized Kakuzu, and would use the information to gain the Earth Grudge Fear for himself. Becoming a missing-nin, Narikyō would be raised to being an international criminal after two attacks on Iwagakure and Konogakure, as well as becoming an S-ranked shinobi. Being a missing-nin, Narikyō has a large bounty on his head. Many seek to capture him and return him to Takigakure, or to just flat out kill him. Many would die this way, or have their hearts added to Narikyō collection to replace damaged or weaker ones. Narikyō would become known as the . Narikyō is also known to target the hearts of those with kekkei genkai and kekkei tōta nature transformations, so that he may gain their combined nature abilities as well.
