But after countless last-second saves, the valiant ship finally fell in the last seconds of the First Battle of Earth, when it was blown apart attempting to jump into hyperspace. The second MBP-305, originally in the service of China and named Mao Zedong, was rechristened Aurora in honor of the lost vessel when its captain took command of it in early 2013.
