  • Shadrach gloats about suing Marlon and thrives on the distress he’s causing his relative. But Marlon can’t help but wonder if he’s doomed to be cursed with bad luck all his life. The bad atmosphere at the Dingle’s has spread to The Woolpack where the stressed out chef is venting his frustration. But despite various friend’s assistance in trying to persuade Shadrach to stop taking legal action the prospect of a quick buck spurs him on. Edna’s friends decide that the time has come for her to be wheedled out of her house and back into the village life. Word spreads that a parcel has arrived for Edna and she must reveal herself to retrieve it. Little does she realise that a game of pass the parcel is set to follow and she will end up chasing it around the village. A totally fed up Edna ends up

Jack issues legal papers to Andy and Katie on Chris’s behalf, but the request that his son leave the premises before the potential tenants are shown round are ignored. Instead the couple are put off the prospect of dealing with squatters so the farm is left unsold. The idea hits Andy that he should follow his dreams by applying to the run the farm himself. Paul, the postie is still not settling into his job easily, particularly with the added hindrance of the older local residents insisting he join them for cups of tea, not to mention assisting with handy-man jobs about the house. Zoe’s love interest from the recent wedding is keen to set up a date but the schizophrenic worries about telling her new friend Cally about the disease.
