- Spotty is an alien who comes from the planet Spot, where his parents and his sister, Blotch, still live (its very hot there). He collects cosmic dust and is always asking SuperTed to tell him his magic word (he keeps promising that he won't tell anyone else). Spotty can be quite accident prone and SuperTed is always helping him out of a spot of trouble. If Spotty gets flustered then he starts stammering. He travels around space with SuperTed using his Spotty Rocket, and his rocket pack. Like SuperTed, he doesn't need a spacesuit and helmet to survive in space.

- Spotty (=Engl. für "gesprenkelt") ist ein Mitglied in Ziras Rudel, das erstmals in Der König der Löwen 2 - Simbas Königreich auftritt. Da ihr richtiger Name unbekannt ist, wurde sie 2004 von einem englischsprachigen Fan namens Celia nach ihrem Aussehen benannt. Ähnlich wie bei Dotty hat sie eine auffällige Musterung unter ihrem Auge, allerdings nicht rechts, sondern links. Zunächst sah es so aus, als würden zahlreiche kleine Punkte (engl. "Spots") unter ihrem linken Auge zu sehen sein.
- Jasper 'Spotty' Spotz is the seventh and last student of the seven pupils in Bash Street School's Class IIB. He is nicknamed Spotty because of the many black spots that cover his face. He also has an extraordinarily long tie which he uses to help the other kids out of tricky situations. In the 1963 TV show, The Beano, when the safety inspector closes down the school and sends the kids to Bash Street Academy, his spots are removed along with his aggressive, sarcastic nature. His family name was revealed as Spotz in the Beano Annual 2007.

Einige Fans argumentierten, dass es sich möglicherweise doch um Dotty handele und jemand einfach einen Fehler gemacht habe, indem er die Löwin gespiegelt in die Szene einsetzte, in der die Schattenländerinne Simba und Kovu angreifen. Diese Theorie wurde jedoch schnell widerlegt, denn in der gleichen Szene ist klar auf der anderen Seite auch Dotty zu sehen. Es handelt sich also um zwei unterschiedliche Löwinnen. Ihre Ähnlichkeit führte schnell zu der Vermutung, die beiden könnten miteinander verwandt - vielleicht sogar Zwillinge sein, was sich auch in vielen Fan-Geschichten wiederspiegelte. So gielt sich die Vorstellung von der gesprenkelten Spotty über Jahre hinweg, bis jedoch der Film zum ersten Mal auf BluRay veröffentlicht wurde. Dort zeigten Screenshots in einer höheren Auflösung nun deutlich, dass Spottys Punkte in Wahrheit gar keine Punkte sind, sondern stattdessen eine wellenförmige Linie.
