abstract
  • Object 851 Charon is a type of cyborg superweapon developed by Cyberia. It is more accurately described as a biomechanical mech, as, unlike the implant sets, Object 851 was not implanted into a preexisting human or other creature, but rather was a machine constructed partially from robotics and partially artificial flesh. The Hades carried devices based upon temporal technology. With the exception of the Chrono Rangers, who come from the future, and later versions of the Great Old One, no other implementations of temporal technology are known of in the world of Random Kingdom III, so it is unknown how the Dynasty obtained the technology used in the Hades (even in Command & Conquer universe, the technology is one of the Allies, not the Soviets). It has been pointed out that some characteristics of the spacetime warp the Hades can induce are similar to that of the FTL drive used to send the Mechanoids to Eden-IV prior to World War III, so this might point to the origin of the technology. Apart from its temporal technology, the Hades is also the first type of cyborg to employ nanomachinery, which it uses to repair itself and to attack other cyborgs. The implementation of nanomachinery would be expanded upon in the successor Devil Cyborg. OOCly, the Hades is a direct copy of the unit of the same name from the RTS game Empire Earth.
