  • The Haunted Mine is an interior instanced Mission Map accessible from the Burnside region of the Desert. It is the location of all Objectives of the Mission SiniSister, given to heroes by Witchcraft, also located in the ghost town of Burnside.
  • The zealot believes that Saradomin himself blessed the River Salve, whose waters connected and percolated through the rocks to reach the deeper levels of the mines. When strange crystals began to form in the mines, its inhabitants used them to create a legendary artefact that protected them from Morytania's evil beings - the Salve amulet.
  • For the boss fight, high level food is strongly recommended, as you will take a lot of damage at all levels. If you have no previous experience (or limited memory) of the fight, read the "boss fight" section below in the quest guide. It is important to be well-prepared for the fight! Travel times may be shortened by using the following fairy ring codes: Provided that you have completed the Shades of Mort'ton quest, you can also use the Shades of Mort'ton minigame teleport in the minigames' tab.

Bring all the items required to finish the quest, including supplies for the boss fight (don't forget to bring a druid pouch if travelling through the swamps). To begin the quest, players need to head to the Abandoned Mine, which can be found in the south-west part of the Morytania Swamps. From Canifis, head west and enter the swamps through the gate. Travel south along the River Salve. Begin along the long winding path to Mort'ton. At the most south-west part of the path is the starting point of this quest. Look for a grey field on the minimap. Travel times may be shortened by using the following fairy ring codes: * - West of Canifis at the entrance gate of the swamp * - South of Canifis a short ways into the swamp * - On an island west of the Nature Grotto, which lays in the southern part of the swamp. You'll need level 50 Agility to cross a stepping stone to get to Morytania. Provided that you have completed the Shades of Mort'ton quest, you can also use the Shades of Mort'ton minigame teleport in the minigames' tab.

She's used the ghosts of the town of Burnside as bait to draw her sister to the Desert; Witchcraft was captured and is being held captive within the Mine, and has been given the choice of joining the Circle of the Scarlet Moon or being sacrificed by her sister's hand.

The Ridge mines were previously guarded by Zamorak's mage, Treus Dayth, who eventually failed and was defeated after a Saradominist incursion. Enraged, Lord Drakan, another Zamorakian, killed the raiders and sealed the mine, before condemning Dayth's soul to be bound to it for eternity and to protect it from any Saradominists who tried to access the crystals thereafter.
