| abstract | - The 155mm MAC XM7 was is an Anti-Armor Weapon developed by Trinity Advanced Robotics. This gun was created in 2525 to fit the T95M Super Heavy Tank during the race to build the best tank. The gun was never put into service but was tested and it proved successful for its time. In 2557, TAR began work on the new upgraded version, XM7E2. The main difference here is that the XM7 is a coilgun while the XM7E2 is a railgun.With a railgun it is possible to charge up a shot with much higher velocity than what one could with a coilgun. Although the XM7 was undoubtedly a powerful weapon, the XM7E2 was vastly more powerful, multiplying the damage, range, accuracy, and velocity several hundred times.
