It was a tough fight, as Mist Shade attacked with a vast array of blows and spells, and even transformed back and forth between its two shapes. The male version of the monster proved to be a powerful physical fighter, that went so far as to attack two and even three times per turn. After a while, it transformed into its female form and attacked the whole group with a Lightning spell for moderate damage, and with a devastating mist-based spell. In the end, Riou and his companions managed to vanquish Mist Shade, thanks to their various skills, and could go their way down the pass to reach Kyaro.
