- Ghosts are the most commonly seen type of Spirit, arising when the circumstances surrounding a person’s death cause some part of his or her soul to remain near the place of death. The most common reason is that the person was not buried properly – either not in consecrated ground, without the correct funerary rites, or both. Sometimes a Ghost may also arise because a person died with some great task unfulfilled, or was murdered by a killer who is still at large.[1a]
- Ghosts are a species of Monsters in Monstro City. The first Ghost to be introduced, Zoinks, was seen in Spooktacular Spectacular. - Death rules are strict: 1.
* You are dead. A ghost. An unfortunate fact. This means you are no longer part of the game. In the rare chance that there is some sort of "resurrection role", you are dead forever. The best you can do is not get in the way of the game and cheer on your team! Remember, you still win if your team wins 2.
* Ghost posting = Mafia offence where a person posts something meaningful in the game thread or any BTSC after being killed/lynched. Dead players are not allowed to continue BTSC or to post anything meaningful on the thread. If they DO post (they should only post once, if at all), it should be in gray and have absolutely no on-topic material that supplies any sort of information or discusses strategy. This rule is very important! Even if some baddies are c
- Ghosts are spirit beings that were once physical living beings. They remain somehow attached to the physical world after their original forms have passed away. In the comic books, ghosts resemble vaguely humanoid figures made of sheets, while in the cartoon show they have a much more human appearance except when the ghost is of a character that wasn't originally human or became skeletal in their ghostly form. In Quarrel Castle, Peewit ran into the ghost named Uncle Fenwick, who at one time had relatives paying him a visit to celebrate his Ghost Day.
- The Ghosts are fearless, intelligent, and agile combatants who possess the ability to jump, crawl, and navigate their surroundings both efficiently and effectively. They attack with grace, speed, and brutality. They may attack from any direction, which can potentially disorientate the player. In combat, the Ghosts exhibit astonishing mobility, leaping from catwalks, over walls and rubble, and dodging to stay out of the player's iron sights. They can close the gap between themselves and their targets very quickly, making their melee-class similar to the basic mutant, albeit significantly more durable and crafty. They can be found in dark, forgotten and abandoned places where they decorate their surroundings with graffiti and grisly trophies of their victims. Most of them have bone daggers c
- The Ghosts are the main enemies of the Pac-Man series and have antagonized Pac-Man and all of Pac-Land in their appearances. The most notable ghosts are the four members of the Ghost Gang who have appeared throughout the series as on and off villains.
- These could be the most powerful of undead, save the Nazgûl. They were total energy, having no physical component at all, and were activated solely by the presence of living beings of the same type that they once were (most often Men). They appeared as they remembered themselves being, with varying degrees of effectiveness: lesser Ghosts often neglected pertinent details, such as appropiate clothing for the occasion. They also did not realize that, since their appearence was nothing but illusion, their will could affect it. A Ghost who wished to be larger and more menacing was so, with nothing but a thought. Greater Ghosts, whose instincts were under more control, avoided this giveaway and behaved in a very lifelike manner, enabling them to drain the constitution (and hence lite- energy) o
- While many believe that they are the trapped souls of dead people, this is wrong. Ghosts are very much alive, as alive as me or you reading this right now, ghosts are far more complicated than that. You see the universe is a vast place, an endless space of paradoxes, worm holes and they key factor: Time. The universe is such a huge place that there is more than one time period going on right now. While we are sitting here right now there are people in the future going about there daily routine as well as people from the past. Time isn't a straight line..
- A ghost is a type of supernatural creature, created when someone with excess soul dies without attempting werewolf or vampire metamorphosis. They are relatively rare, and more likely to be women (because of the survivability problems with female metamorphosis).
- On The Muppet Show, a trio of ghosts appear in episode 119 telling ghost jokes backstage. They sang the Beatles' song "I'm Looking Through You" for the episode's UK Spot, and joined in the closing number, "You've Got a Friend." Designed in the tradition of cloth sheet with eyeholes and mouths cut out, they were filmed so as to seem transparent. In this episode, the two male ghosts were performed by John Lovelady and Richard Hunt; the female ghost was performed Eren Ozker. One of the ghosts was later reused in the Mopatop's Shop episode "Ghosts," where he was performed by Brian Herring.
- When spirits have unfinished business, they become earthbound. In some cases, spirits cross over as soon as their issues are resolved and are at peace. They can give ghost whisperers like Melinda visions so they can see the history or memories of the spirits and their connections. Sometimes she gets visions when she touches an object that is connected to them. They can also teleport from one place to another, possess the living, move objects, and etc. They can also attach themselves to a person or an object. Sometimes they don't even know that they're dead like with Andrea. Ghosts can feed off of people's energy, fear, and etc. According to Professor Payne, there are 2 types of spirits: dark and light. Ghosts don't always remember how they died and forget what actually happen whic
- Ghosts are replays of previous Time Trial attempts. As such, they only appear in Time Trial mode. They have appeared in most games in the series. Ghosts appear as semi-transparent characters and behave as players who used them. These drivers cannot be touched and pass through karts and obstacles.
- "Ghosts" was a single by the British band Japan from the 1981 album Tin Drum. It reached number five in the UK Singles Chart in 1982. Although it was their biggest hit, this was not enough to stop the band splitting a few months later. Bereft of drums, the minimalist track would not be described as a "commercially viable" single in most circumstances. However, Japan's popularity at the time, in addition to the early 1980s fashion for New Wave music, allowed the single to become unexpectedly popular.
- Ghosts are the spirits of those whose bodies have died, but whose spirits are unable to go on. There are two sorts of ghosts; If the spirit is strong enough, it will retain its form and personality, and thus remain peaceful - these are called spirits. However, should the mind be lost, the ghost will start to look much more ethereal, and become aggressive. Ghosts can float through walls, and attack with magic. Often, only magical weapons can finally bring these wandering spirits to a final rest. Ghosts have remained similar in all Ultimas, with a few notable differences:
- Imaya keeps her secrets in a wooden box. She can’t remember when she picked up this habit, but it has long become second nature to her. Even now that the box is full to the brim with her dusty memories, she remains a collector: A crimson red feather she found on Falconwing Square, a day after her arrival in Quel’ Thalas. A seashell necklace she bought from an overzealous vendor in Orgrimmar. A tiny wax bead, splintered from the seal of a mysterious letter. There’s always another moment to capture, another proof to collect. At the end of the day, when her duties are done and night’s stillness makes room for uninvited thoughts, she clutches to her treasures as if her very life depended on it. As if running her fingers over an old toy or through her mother’s favourite beads would somehow keep
- Ghosts are haunted mecha that you are required to capture to gain ranks in Mysterious Johnsons Ghost Hunting.Types of Ghosts
There are currently 4 types of common ghosts, 2 types of uncommon ghost and 2 Boss and Semi-Bosses. Common ghosts are Electra Phantasms, Tech Phantoms, Spectral Mecha, and Ghost Mecha. Uncommon ghosts are Goobers and Arcade Ghosts. Bosses and Semi-Bosses are Ghost Angels and Gummer the Gummerian.Abilities of ghosts
Disadvantages of ghosts
There are little or no abilities of ghosts since all of them are immune to stunning except the Ghost angel and Gummer the Gummerian.
- When some bubbles, especially giant bubbles, collapse there is often a bubble "ghost" left behind momentarily. Oftentimes, the ghost is a gauzy tissue-like residue that pulls into itself, seemingly in slow-motion. Observers often find them as interesting as the bubbles themselves though performers sometimes feel that they make for a messy appearance. The character of the ghosts (but not the overall tendency to ghost) is also influenced by the polymers and other ingredients present in the bubble juice.
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches the Plan of Salvation. This is Heavenly Father's plan for His children. Understanding the plan enables one to know the place and nature of spirits in a worldly and eternal sense. Understanding the Plan of Salvation helps one understand that there are two forms of disembodied spirits: evil spirits (Satan and his followers who were cast out of heaven to the earth); and the spirits of those who have died and have not yet been resurrected. There is no such thing as a spirit of a deceased person roaming the earth with unfinished business.
- The first issue was written entirely by Leo Dorfman. To avoid having it seem that a single writer was monopolizing the comic, editor Murray Boltinoff had Dorfman use the pseudonyms "Geoff Brown" (Dorfman's son was named "Geoff" and his wife's maiden name was "Brown") and "David George". Ghosts was one of several horror-mystery-suspense DC Comics series. According to DC Comics writer and executive Paul Levitz, Ghosts "wasn’t a fan favorite (then or in retrospect), it was a disproportionately good seller." Nick Cardy was the cover artist for Ghosts for issues #1-6, 8-15, and 17-36.

Text | - Spirits of the uneasy dead, these bodiless creatures compensate for their lack of strength with excellent dexterity and the ability to disappear at will. Although ghosts do not inflict much damage with a blow, defeating them will require cunning.
- Ghosts are generally found in cemeteries and other places of the dead, though their movements are all but unlimited. These ethereal spirits pass easily through solid walls and other obstacles, making them difficult to chase and difficult to elude. Though they do not possess great strength, their mobility and ability to use magic make them a force to be reckoned with.
- Our Seers have been at a loss to explain the presence of the several types of spectral beings which are sometimes found within the Underworld. We do not know whether these are the spirits of Britannia's dead or merely beasts of an ethereal nature. The typical Ghost is no match for an experienced warrior, as two or three well placed blows will quench its essence, and in such a short fight the specter cannot seriously injure its foe. More dangerous are the rarer, more powerful ghostforms. The White Ghost, which differs from a typical ghost by being opaque and blazingly white in hue, is more substantial in this plane and thus much mor difficult to slay. Therefore, combat against this foe typically takes much longer - and the White Ghost can easily slay its foe in such a span of time!
- The spirit of a mage defeated in battle may return as a spectre. In seeking revenge, a spectre draws magical strength from its foes. Their sapping of your mana limits attacks in return, as they are immune to weapons of iron and steel. In combat, spare no magical attack, for a failure to defeat a spectre may leave your spirit eternity to contemplate your error. Spectres resemble ghostly skeletons of a barely human form.
- The dead of Britannia do not always lie quietly. Occasionally, one who has died will not depart in good order, but instead something called a ghost will arise in his place. Ghosts are frequently malevolent, and can sap heat from the human body, as if drawing it off into some infinite reservoir of cold. The pale white ghost is easily dispersed into air, but the dire ghost and the reddish haunt have a more tenacious hold on their unnatural existence.
- Manifestations of the remains of the deceased, ghosts are known for their ability to ignore most natural laws, floating about at whim. Presumably in deference to their origin, ghosts tend to gravitate toward locations relevant to the dead.
- These ethereal creatures carry the embittered spirits of people who were wronged or cursed in death. Oft encountered near their final resting place, they kill with the gentlest touch. In consuming the energy of life, they feed the rage of the undead till whatever wrong done to them has been righted. At will, ghosts can phase in and out of the ethereal void. Thus, the constraints of wall and door have little hold upon them. In this plane, these apparitions resemble humans, albeit in a translucent form. To defeat a ghost requires light feet and sturdy magic.
- This magical spirit of the dead has the power to move through solid walls and has been known to use magic. It can appear anywhere, but tends to frequent graveyards or places significant to the life of the deceased.
- The restless spirits of those trapped between planes, Ghosts can pass through walls, so use extreme caution when they are thought to be nearby. Evil Ghosts are often found in ruins, battlefields and crypts.

- The rules for Ghosts are found on pg. 208 in the World of Darkness Corebook. They are created and their stats are generated in different ways than Humans. If any Numina used is not available online, cite the page reference and book in the Notes so other Storytellers can find thaat Advantage easily. The best way to go about creating Ghosts is to look up some ghost stories. Although the Ghosts found in the Corebook are generic, when you create your Ghost think about fleshing a background story and motives to give the Ghost more life (no pun intended). This will ultimately make your work more valuable to those that read your Ghost.

This particular style of ghost was rebuilt in 2011 and used in a short promo for The Muppets. [1] and later appeared in 2017 for The Muppets Take the Bowl performing the "Boo Danube." A different ghost puppet appeared in episode 307 of The Muppet Show, echoing the dance moves of Alice Cooper in "Welcome to My Nightmare" and Thog in "Once a Year Day." While this ghost also floated and was filmed so as to seem transparent, his appearance differed in that his body appeared to be wrapped like a mummy and he had two legs instead of no discernible lower half. On Sesame Street, a ghost with more traditional Muppet eyes lives in Count von Count's castle. He shows up when Elmo comes to visit in Elmo Says BOO!, answering The Count's riddle, "what's a ghost's favorite dessert?": boooo-berry pie! An illustrated ghost appears in The Sesame Street Dictionary under the entry for "bowl."
Greater Ghosts, whose instincts were under more control, avoided this giveaway and behaved in a very lifelike manner, enabling them to drain the constitution (and hence lite- energy) of a victim while engaging him in conversation or merely being near him. It was a strange fact that most Ghosts seemed not to realize that they were dead; often, if they could be convinced of their true nature, they would dissipate and go forth to their appointed rest. (Note that Elves did not have Ghosts, since their spirits always knew where to go. It was notable that Elves did not fear Ghosts, perhaps for this reason). However, Ghosts were remarkably impervious to reason on this score (How would you. Reader, react if someone insisted that you were dead?), and would-be persuaders were well-warned that there was no way that the Ghost could avoid draining their life-energy, any more than they themselves could avoid having their hearts beat. Anyone near enough to a Ghost to speak to it was near enough to be drained. Some Ghosts were bound to a place or object that was very important to them in life or that figured strongly in their deaths: a sentry killed while guarding a crucial post, for instance, whose spirit remained "on duty" long after the fortress that he guarded had fallen to ruins; the murder victim haunting the gold that she was killed for; the child plague victim still holding fast to the wooden doll that comforted its last hours.
- The Ghosts were a group of street children led by Hawk.
- Ghosts usually live in Ghost Land and live in some Feild like a comunity guarded by a Monsterous ghost (Trencher). Sometimes Ghosts like Betrayus, Ghost Boss, the Goul-Bots live in Haunted houses in the Badlands in Robotroplis or in Bowser's castle (Nightmare HQ). Ghosts like the Ghost Gang are like hobos just wondering around and sometimes usually live with Pac-man in the Capitol or in Finn's house. Ghosts like the Zuree live in the Underworld with the Zeti.

The Smurfs have encountered various types of ghosts. One of them was a nightclub entertainer and musician named Ghostwriter, who provided Harmony Smurf an "original" symphony that the Smurf musician can claim as his own in exchange for being that ghost's eternal performer at his nightclub. Papa Smurf contested that claim by having his Village Smurphony Orchestra play the entire "original" symphony, which was revealed to be pieces of other musicians' works that Ghostwriter was infringing upon. In Quarrel Castle, Peewit ran into the ghost named Uncle Fenwick, who at one time had relatives paying him a visit to celebrate his Ghost Day. During the time-travel episodes of Season 9, the Smurfs encountered Laird Milton McKilty, a Scottish ghost who was watching over two ponies being sought after by the greedy horse jockey Frugal McDougal. McKilty had the ability to make parts of himself appear and disappear at will, although sometimes this will happen uncontrollably when he is deeply concerned about something such as one of his ponies being stolen. In the comic books, a few Smurfs met a little ghost who hid himself inside a box in The Old Tower because he was too ashamed of his inability to frighten people. When Gargamel paid a visit to the tower to look for Smurfs, the little ghost tried to scare Gargamel away, but unknown to the little ghost it was really Puppy who chased off Gargamel. In the Johan And Peewit stories, the two main characters encounter the ghost of Aldebert Baufort, who was sentenced to haunting the grounds of his castle after Sarah the witch had cursed its seven springs of water to dry up, forcing its residents to move elsewhere. Johan and Peewit with the help of the Smurfs broke the curse by restoring the seven springs with a magic dowsing rod, then found the rightful heir to the Baufort estate to claim the castle before a certain time while fighting off other claimants. With Aldebert's descendant John Baufort producing the family seal that proved his right of ownership before the time expired, Aldebert was able to join his ancestors in the afterlife. In the animated feature The Smurfs: The Legend Of Smurfy Hollow, three of the Smurfs encountered the legendary Headless Horseman in the region of Smurfy Hollow, who chased them as well as Gargamel and Azrael back to the covered bridge that it could not pass over. However, when Gargamel taunted the horseman while he was safe inside the bridge, the horseman threw a flaming pumpkin into the bridge, which caused the evil wizard and his cat to fall into the river and be carried off toward a waterfall. Near the end of the story, it was revealed that the Headless Horseman really wasn't a ghost, but was simply a goat that was transformed by Papa Smurf's magic into the horseman and his mount.
As if running her fingers over an old toy or through her mother’s favourite beads would somehow keep her breathing. “They’re like ghosts”, Imaya whispers in one of those nights when no one but her moody cat Adele is around to listen. “You keep them locked away, but they still come back to haunt you.” And she smiles and shakes her head over the sentimental fool she has become.
- Ghosts are spirits of deceased people that are stuck in the mortal world and can't move on to the Afterlife. They may be evil and bent on revenge or benevolent. They usually appear as when they were alive, but transparent or with a ghostly aura. They are known to haunt the places where they died or where they are buried.
- Ghosts is the fifteenth episode of Power Rangers RPM. It is the last episode in the Dillon's Past/Gold and Sliver Ranger story arc.
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches the Plan of Salvation. This is Heavenly Father's plan for His children. Understanding the plan enables one to know the place and nature of spirits in a worldly and eternal sense.
* We existed as spirits in a pre-mortal existence in the presence of God the Father and Jesus Christ.
* God the Father is the literal father of our spirits. Jesus is His first-born in the pre-mortal existence, and therefore our elder brother. Satan was a "son of the morning," in other words, one of the first born and most intelligent of God's spirit children.
* In order to prove ourselves and gain exaltation, we agreed to participate in Heavenly Father's plan, wherein we would become mortals with physical bodies and live on earth for a brief time for our faith to be tested.
* Satan disagreed with the plan, sought to coerce men into righteous behavior (thwarting the eternal principle of agency and negating any opportunity to exercise faith), and sought glory for himself. Thus, he was cast out of heaven to the earth with his followers (1/3 of the host of heaven). Satan and his followers are spirits; they will never have mortal bodies, nor will they ever be resurrected.
* When men die, their spirits are sent to the "spirit world," a place with two kingdoms: spirit paradise, and spirit prison. There, they enjoy the felicity of their deceased loved ones, and are able to exercise agency towards repentance and gospel learning. People remain in the spirit world until they are resurrected and assigned a kingdom of glory. (See Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial Kingdoms.) Understanding the Plan of Salvation helps one understand that there are two forms of disembodied spirits: evil spirits (Satan and his followers who were cast out of heaven to the earth); and the spirits of those who have died and have not yet been resurrected. There is no such thing as a spirit of a deceased person roaming the earth with unfinished business. The spirits of deceased persons who now live in the spirit world are interested in the welfare of their loved ones who remain as mortals on the earth. The Lord can employ them as guardian angels, or in singular circumstances, they might be allowed to visit a loved one still living on the earth to give comfort. These spirits might also deliver gospel information as part of the Lord's work on earth. Evil spirits, Satan's followers, are ever-desirous to torment men, obtain control over the physical bodies of men, and dissuade men from following Christ to salvation. Anything they can do to achieve these aims, they will do. They can communicate through mediums, appear as ghosts, behave like poltergeists, possess the bodies of men, and even appear as angels of light. Discernment is necessary to identify these spirits as what they are in order not to be deceived. A story in the Book of Mormon presents an example. A man named Korihor (about 75 B.C.) went about among the people preaching that there would be no Christ, that there was no sin, and that a man could achieve only by using his talents, that there was no grace, and no afterlife. He and his followers used these philosophies to justify all sorts of sexual sin and dishonest behavior. When confronted by Alma, a prophet, Korihor finally confessed: Now Korihor said unto him: I do not deny the existence of a God, but I do not believe that there is a God; and I say also, that ye do not know that there is a God; and except ye show me a sign, I will not believe. Now Alma said unto him: This will I give unto thee for a sign, that thou shalt be struck dumb, according to my words; and I say, that in the name of God, ye shall be struck dumb, that ye shall no more have utterance. Now when Alma had said these words, Korihor was struck dumb, that he could not have utterance, according to the words of Alma. And now when the chief judge saw this, he put forth his hand and wrote unto Korihor, saying: Art thou convinced of the power of God? In whom did ye desire that Alma should show forth his sign? Would ye that he should afflict others, to show unto thee a sign? Behold, he has showed unto you a sign; and now will ye dispute more? And Korihor put forth his hand and wrote, saying: I know that I am dumb, for I cannot speak; and I know that nothing save it were the power of God could bring this upon me; yea, and I always knew that there was a God. But behold, the devil hath deceived me; for he appeared unto me in the form of an angel, and said unto me: Go and reclaim this people, for they have all gone astray after an unknown God. And he said unto me: There is no God; yea, and he taught me that which I should say. And I have taught his words; and I taught them because they were pleasing unto the carnal mind; and I taught them, even until I had much success, insomuch that I verily believed that they were true; and for this cause I withstood the truth, even until I have brought this great curse upon me (Alma 30:48-53). No one should ever entice evil spirits to draw near. Oija Boards, seances, and the like, are dangerous tools. Everything possible should be done to protect oneself, including avoiding addictive substances that can weaken consciousness and will, against the power of evil spirits. Joseph Smith was visited on a fairly regular basis by heavenly messengers who taught him and conferred authority in order to restore the gospel of Christ to the earth. His familiarity with the spiritual realm is revealed in Section 129 of the Doctrine and Covenants: There are two kinds of beings in heaven, namely: Angels, who are resurrected personages, having bodies of flesh and bones— For instance, Jesus said: Handle me and see, for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. Secondly: the spirits of just men made perfect, they who are not resurrected, but inherit the same glory. When a messenger comes saying he has a message from God, offer him your hand and request him to shake hands with you. If he be an angel he will do so, and you will feel his hand. If he be the spirit of a just man made perfect he will come in his glory; for that is the only way he can appear— Ask him to shake hands with you, but he will not move, because it is contrary to the order of heaven for a just man to deceive; but he will still deliver his message. If it be the devil as an angel of light, when you ask him to shake hands he will offer you his hand, and you will not feel anything; you may therefore detect him. These are three grand keys whereby you may know whether any administration is from God.
- In traditional belief, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a deceased person or animal that can appear, in visible form or other manifestation, to the living. Descriptions of the apparition of ghosts vary widely from an invisible presence to translucent or barely visible wispy shapes, to realistic, life-like visions. The deliberate attempt to contact the spirit of a deceased person is known as necromancy, or in spiritism as a séance. In tradition, their sub grouping is undead, but by Wikipedia, under "Sprites", it lists ghosts.

- Ghosts are animals that are transparent-they occasionally appear when the game glitches when an animal dies. The exact mechanism of this glitch is not currently known.
- A ghost is a type of supernatural creature, created when someone with excess soul dies without attempting werewolf or vampire metamorphosis. They are relatively rare, and more likely to be women (because of the survivability problems with female metamorphosis). Their state of mind relies on the physical state of their body, to which they are tethered and cannot move far from. As the ghost's brain decomposes, the ghost slowly goes insane, entering a "poltergeist" phase before eventually disanimating completely. If a ghost's body is properly preserved, their "lifespan" can be years after their original death, and they can retain their sense of self, mind, and reasoning. Their form will remain stable in this condition, as well. Ghosts cannot be preserved indefinitely, however. If the ghost's body is immersed entirely in formaldehyde, the tether between the ghost and its body cannot stay intact. Madame Lefoux solves this problem and drastically slows her aunt's decomposition by injecting air into a vat of formaldehyde in enough quantity to keep the tether while submerging the body. Unfortunately, the body can still decompose in this state, though very slowly, and Formerly Lefoux eventually loses her sanity. Once the inevitable rot of their bodies begins, however, ghosts slowly begin to go mad. Their ghostly appearance will begin to lose form and separate, leaving parts of them floating around independently. In these instances, an exorcist may need to be called to put the ghost to rest. Only a preternatural can exorcise a ghost. They do so by coming into physical contact with the ghost's dead body.
- Ghosts is the eighth episode of the first season of Castle.
- The Ghosts are the main enemies of the Pac-Man series and have antagonized Pac-Man and all of Pac-Land in their appearances. The most notable ghosts are the four members of the Ghost Gang who have appeared throughout the series as on and off villains. Despite ghosts often being cruel and mischievous, some have been shown to be nice, but most have rejoiced in antagonizing Pac-Man. They have to be careful though, because Pac-Man has a chance of swallowing them whole, usually when a Power Pellet is obtained. They are spectral beings that dwell in Ghost Land and sometimes the Ghost Gang and ghosts come to Pac-Land to cause havoc and mischief.
Most of them have bone daggers called Bonesticks which can be used to eviscerate their enemies. Some of them carry more than one dagger and throw them at their enemies before finishing them. They wear no armor, only the bare essentials so they can maneuver the way they do. The Ghosts live in an enormous abandoned hotel that appears remarkably intact, with several statues and decorations remaining uncorrupted. The building is covered with their symbols and crude constructions, such as wooden plank ramps and scrap-metal bridges, as well as several grind-rails to help them maneuver if needed. They appear to be largely unaffected by other Wasteland beings. The larders of fly-covered dead bodies, mutilated corpse ornaments and skulls that adorn every inch of their territory is testament to their unnerving presence. The Ghosts seem to be insane. They thrive solely on cannibalism and meat, and kill violently and indiscriminately. Their disturbing occult symbology, sharpened teeth, murderous intent and their lack of any effort to clean, or at least organize the gore and flies-swarmed blood pools that lay strewn across their domain indicate extreme psychosis. Their threats of devouring their soon-to-be victims make it clear that the Ghost Clan has no issue with a reputation as cannibals.
- Ghosts appear in the game X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Shotgun wielding soldiers with cloaking powers. The shotgun has good stopping power, which makes lunging very difficult. Feral Vision will eliminate visibility problems, and the best way to fight them is to get in close. Quick Kills work, but they require a button-mashing QTE.
It's more of a complicated system of levels much like a hotel, you go upstairs but the people down stairs don’t disappear just because you cant see them or hear them, they are still there and alive. With that being said people in the 1800's for example who died 200 hundred years ago are still alive somewhere in the universe in a different time paradox. World War II is still being fought. Now here comes the complicated part, that the place in the universe where these time periods are happening is earth, yes our home, and now instead of being like a hotel its more like tracing paper over an original picture, you can see what you’ve drawn on the tracing paper and what's underneath it, both can be seen with each other but are not actually in the same place. This explains why ghosts are often described as looking hazy and not solid but more of a see through texture. Whether you have seen one directly or not you have probably at one point in time been alone in a room somewhere but felt like you weren't actually alone.. Like something else was in the room with you... Let me tell you this isn't just a feeling, you are not alone, even now there is an unseen force directly next to you the person reading this, yes you, you are never alone... ever... Even now walking behind you are people from different time periods and every so often one of these almost hologram like beings will bleed through to our time more clearly so we can see them but they won't see us, but the thing works in reverse which means while you sat here something is watching you... Staring... at you, breathing on your neck, looking deep into your eyes, so the next time you wake up at 3 am with the feeling something in the dark is watching you... You know why…
- Ghosts is an album by Strawbs. It was released in 1974.
- Ghosts are replays of previous Time Trial attempts. As such, they only appear in Time Trial mode. They have appeared in most games in the series. Ghosts appear as semi-transparent characters and behave as players who used them. These drivers cannot be touched and pass through karts and obstacles. In Mario Kart 64, Ghosts were saved on Memory Cards. As such, Ghosts can't be saved in the Virtual Console version of the game. In most games, you can save a Ghost per track. In Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart: Super Circuit, you can download friend's Ghosts wirelessly or through a Game Boy Advance connector, for two Ghosts per track. In Mario Kart Wii, you can download Ghosts from the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, including Rival Ghosts, Champion Ghosts, and Friend Ghosts.
- The spirits of people who have died, particularly violent deaths. Often angry, but occasionally helpful, especially in murder investigations.
- Ghosts are passive, initially neutral entities in Alone in the Dark (1992). They do not seek out the player like other enemies, but become extremely aggressive if provoked, at which point they will pursue the protagonist relentlessly. When angered, they shape shift into a mass of spheres. They can be outrun but they can clip into most places straight through walls meaning there are few safe corners on a floor with a whirling ghost on it.
- Ghosts is a flag on the Emerald Ocean formerly of Sage. It was founded March 28, 2008.
Ghosts don't always remember how they died and forget what actually happen which causes them to blame people. Ghosts can attach themselves to people who they are either haunting or they know the person. Children can see ghosts when they are really young and they lose the ability as they grow up. A ghost can jump to someone else's body who are already dead like when Jim jumped into Sam's body. Imprint haunting is when when a spirit keeps reliving the same experience. Professor Payne explains that in an imprint haunting the ghost is stuck in sort of a time-loop and is forced to do the same thing over and over again. It occurs with spirits of the soldiers in "Haunted Hero" and with Lorelei in "Save Our Souls". Opression is when a spirit controls a body without having to enter it and it used by earthbound spirits. The spirits of children who cross-over into the Light become "Shinies" and Aiden said that "If there was a war between them, the Shinies would win." Aiden is the only one that can see the Shinies and the Shadows. The Shinies are more powerful than the Shadows. Aiden said that, "Shadows are made of parts of people left behind" and when a spirit goes into the light, sometimes only part(s) of it does and the other part(s) are left behind and become Shadows.

When Hot Rod returns to announce his failure to learn anything, the Autobot realize that this is no illusion and retreat themselves.

This type of phenomenon is known as poltergeist (which is a German term that literally means knocking spirit). - Ghosts are the most commonly seen type of Spirit, arising when the circumstances surrounding a person’s death cause some part of his or her soul to remain near the place of death. The most common reason is that the person was not buried properly – either not in consecrated ground, without the correct funerary rites, or both. Sometimes a Ghost may also arise because a person died with some great task unfulfilled, or was murdered by a killer who is still at large.[1a] Unless somehow coerced by powerful evil forces, Ghosts are not usually malevolent. Some may be mischievous and enjoy scaring the living. Most, however, wish only to be released from their tormented existence. A Ghost may seek to enlist the aid of the living to perform this release; perhaps by ensuring its body is reburied on consecrated ground, or by bringing its murderer to justice.[1b]

The "ghost" phenomenon is the result of complex interactions between the bubble juice's chemistry and environmental factors. Some bubble juice is ghostless. The ghostless bubbles made with such juice may seem to spontaneously disappear into a cloud of fine vapor or into nothingness. Whether a particular bubble juice will create ghosts is largely a function of the juice's surfactants. The nature of the ghosts is heavily influenced by environmental factors such as temperature and humidity. The same bubble juice which may have faint ghosting in warm dry weather may exhibit showy slow-mo ghosts in cold weather (probably due to the increased viscosity of the bubble juice in low temperatures). The character of the ghosts (but not the overall tendency to ghost) is also influenced by the polymers and other ingredients present in the bubble juice.

- Ghosts, Not to be Confused with Ghost, are enemies encounted in What Lies Below. Their only attack is to float towards you until they make contact. It is a one time deal only as they perish afterwards. The ghosts are invisible and cannot be killed, unless using a Ghost Gun which makes them visible and able to be killed
If ghosts aren't summoned to do a wizard's bidding, they can be found in dungeons, graveyards, or wherever they met their end. Ghosts have remained similar in all Ultimas, with a few notable differences: In Ultima II, a ghost could extinguish light, whether created by torch or by spell. In Ultima IV, ghosts first displayed their ability to pass through solid objects, and in Ultima V they were able to vanish from sight. As of Ultima VI, ghosts extended their invisibility to allow themselves to attack unseen. Pagan ghosts were only susceptible to magical weapons in melee combat, but could be defeated by using the Grant Peace spell. They would ambush their enemies by appearing out of thin air, and had the ability to summon ghouls to their aid. Pagan ghosts could also pull their heads off, which would in turn seek out the Avatar and explode in close proximity (on rare occasions, these floating heads could be found independent from their ghostly bodies). Strangely however, ghosts in Pagan are unable to pass through walls. In Ultima IX, ghosts took two forms. The traditional ghosts resemble transparent humans, who would attack the Avatar with their ethereal weapons. Spectres resemble floating, vaguely human, apparitions which would drain the spellcaster's mana, and could only be destroyed with magic In both Ultima Underworlds, we also meet two new varieties of ghost, which are both much more dangerous: the Dire Ghost and the Red Haunt.

Even if some baddies are claiming your role, you cannot speak out! 3.
* You can enquire if your host has prepared an afterlife = Ghost BTSC where you can freely comment on the game with your fellow ghosts. Bottom line: If you do want to speak, post in gray, ONLY ONCE, and make sure you have absolutely no on-topic material that supplies any sort of information or discusses strategy! __NOEDITSECTION__
As if running her fingers over an old toy or through her mother’s favourite beads would somehow keep her breathing. “They’re like ghosts”, Imaya whispers in one of those nights when no one but her aged pet owl Morra is around to listen. “You keep them locked away, but they still come back to haunt you.” And she smiles and shakes her head over the sentimental fool she has become. Twenty years had passed since she last killed someone, twenty years in which the soldier in her had lain in a merciful sleep. How strange it was, Imaya thought, that her body remembered what her mind had long forgotten. It still knew all the steps of that deadly dance of blades and shadows. Maybe there was still a fighter’s heart beating in her chest, despite the bad shape she was in. Her enemy, however, was now of a different kind. The broken bundle to her feet resembled in no way the brutish orcs and trolls she had struck down as a soldier of the Ranger Corps. Those had been little more than animals to her, too dangerous to be left alive and yet not to blame for their mindless rage. Never before had she felt such a turmoil after a kill, and a slight nausea tainted the victory rush. “Don’t even think about it”, Imaya growled at the Forsaken woman that cradled the dead body in her arms like a mother and hungrily licked her tattered lips. The woman, a bruised, spindly creature that called herself Arilie, sneered and narrowed her cattish eyes. Imaya had no doubt that if it wasn’t for the sack of silver that she paid this abomination to guide her through the woods of Hillsbrad, she would have attacked her. Instead, Arilie shoved the body from her lap and got up with a rattling wheeze. “There’s no meat on that one anyway”, she said in the raspy Common that Imaya found so hard to understand. “And we better get moving, little elf. If you meet one of these farmers on your way, there’s usually a whole nest of them just waiting around the corner.” “We can’t just leave without Sorrowsight – without him, I’ll never get into Silvermoon in one piece. He has the reputation to be reliable. I’m sure he’ll show up any minute.” “Whatever you say, girl. But maybe your friend is late because his pretty head sticks on some human’s hayfork.” Arilie tapped the dead man with the tip of her haggled boot. “Silver or not, by sunrise I’m out of here.” “That’s only fair, I guess”, Imaya sighed. Her gaze wandered restlessly over the nocturnal landscape that stretched below her. She knew it was madness to stay any longer. It had been her own foolish idea to meet Evran Sorrowsight on Thoradin’s Wall, the once majestic barrier between Hillsbrad and the Highlands. She had chosen this place because it was the only thing she remembered about this area, because she knew she could find it even if she got lost. It had not occured to her that the people of Southshore were frequently patrolling this place in their merciless hunt for undead and criminals. Maybe the cruel hand of fate had sent the young man up here, so many hours after nightfall. If only Sorrowsight had shown up on time, this human would now lay safely in his bed and not in his own blood on a cold stone floor. At first it had even looked as if a fight could be avoided. Like so many times before on her journey from Kalimdor back into Elven territory, Imaya had tried to talk her way out of it. She was, after all, fluent in Common – and wasn’t it perfectly believable that she was just a humble High Elf on her way to Quel’Danil? Her petite frame and girlish appearance tricked many into believing she posed no threat, and this human had been no exception. After Imaya had greeted him in his own tongue, his steps grew hesitant and his nervous stance seemed to relax. But then his gaze found Arilie – the deformed creature that lurked in the shadows, as stock-still as only the dead can be and yet not invisible. With a raging howl, the man swung his sword at Imaya, who swiftly reached for the blades on her girdle. Her instincts took over, and the world started to spin. "You shall pay for this. Do you hear me? You’ll pay for this!" Those were his last words, the hoarse, desperate threats of a man waiting for his death after Imaya had struck him down with half a dozen dagger stabs. Words he repeated over and over again, like a chant, a magic spell, untill he finally drifted into unconciousness. And it was then that Imaya realized she would now have to live with the memory of this night, and she wasn’t exactly sure whether this was a blessing or a curse. Evran Sorrowsight, the elven mercenary, arrived in the morning, only an hour after the disgruntled Arilie had disappeared into the woods. One could tell by his scratched up face and dusty clothes that he’d been into a fight. “Welcome to Hillsbrad, Mrs. Brightsong”, he said with a wide smirk on his wolfish face. “It seems you have already made a friend in the time you were waiting for me.” “I suppose you could put it that way.” Despite the poorly disguised anger in her voice, Imaya felt that the presence of another elf had a soothing effect on her, and for that she was grateful. “Let’s not waste any more time. If I remember correctly, it’s at least a day’s walk to Lordaeron City.” Sorrowsight raised an eyebrow and burst into laughter. “Lordaeron City, eh? I haven’t heard that name in quite some time now. You’re in for a big surprise, girl!” He winked and motioned her to follow him, and with a sigh Imaya shouldered her knapsack. Many hours later she would find a dragon-shaped pendant in one of it’s many pockets, the very same pendant that her human opponent had worn, and by then she would not remember how it ever got there.
- Ghosts is the thirty-third issue of the Winx Club Comic Series.
- Die Ghosts sind eine Eliteeinheit aus Call of Duty: Ghosts. Sie spielen eine primäre Hauptrolle in der Kampagne. Ihr Erzfeind ist ihr ehemaliger Anführer Gabriel Rorke.
- Ghosts are a species of Monsters in Monstro City. The first Ghost to be introduced, Zoinks, was seen in Spooktacular Spectacular. Ghosts are considered a threat, as Zoinks and Jaunty Jack both explain they are friendly upon meeting them for the first time. Some are included in Super Moshi Missions, whilst others sell items in shops. Multiple Ghosts can be encountered as enemies in Moshis vs Ghosts. These particular Ghosts came from a Ghost Portal which was opened by the Ghost of Dr. Strangeglove's Hand. It is unclear whether Ghosts are deceased creatures or a species of their own. The Marooned Five make clear they are departed Moshi Monsters, as they call themselves Moshi Pirates and Captain Codswallop's described his past self as a handsome lad if you point at his skeleton in his Cabin. However, the Moshis vs Ghosts Ghosts come from a portal, likely another dimension. This dimension is possibly the realm of the dead, but the reasons why the other Ghosts we know aren't there is unknown.
- Ghosts is the third season premiere. (Christopher McDonald), which is apparently haunted. Each issue of Ghosts carried multiple stories of the supernatural. The stories were prefaced by a short description introducing the premise and ended with a summation of how a mysterious justice was dealt to the evildoers of the tale. The first issue of this series carried the singular title Ghost in its indicia, but everywhere else, including advance promotional house ads and even on its own cover, it was the plural Ghosts, as even the indicia would read from #2 on. Limited Collectors' Edition #C-32 (December 1974-January 1975) reprinted stories from Ghosts #1, 3-6 and featured new material by Leo Dorfman and artists Gerry Talaoc, E.R. Cruz, and Frank Redondo. Starting with issue #37 (April 1975), a new regular feature was added. At the front of each book a page of single panel depictions of alleged ghost sightings were listed in the fashion of Robert L. Ripley's Believe it or Not! features. These one-page introductory spreads were usually titled "Ghosts and the Supernatural." A Ghosts Special was published in December 1977 as part of the DC Special Series umbrella title. Ghosts #95 (December 1980), introduced to the Ghosts readership its first continuing-character feature, "Dr. 13 - The Ghost-Breaker." The character encounted the Spectre in a three issue storyline. The "Dr. Thirteen" feature last appeared in #102 (July 1981). For the most part, Ghosts was not "hosted" by a recurring character used in a framing sequence. In issue #104 (September–October 1981), however, Squire Shade was introduced as the title's host. He lasted in that position until the book was cancelled with issue #112 (May 1982).
- The Ghosts are agents of H.I.V.E., who act as the terrorist group's grunt soldier force, security guards and representatives.
In 2000 David Sylvian re-recorded "Ghosts" using the original Japan backing track and included it on his compilation Everything and Nothing.
