  • __NOINDEX__ Bite Mark Clothing is a zombie inspired clothing line by Scottish designer Elaine Blakely and was officially launched on October 31st 2007. Based in Glasgow, Scotland the t-shirt designs are diverse with an emphasis on zombie movies appealing to a wide range of styles (i.e punk rock, emo, metal, horror fans etc) All t-shirts are limited editions, and come tagged with custom labels that show which piece you have received out of 250. Each t-shirt is hand printed by Elaine Blakely making each piece a collectable. Orders are taken online via Bite Mark's official website and Elaine Blakely posts and packs the t-shirts in custom made black envelopes called "Body Bags". Each "Body Bag" has a red screen printed biohazard sign with the words - "Contains survival apparel from an outbreak of the undead" and red hand "blood smears" on the back. This packaging was introduced as Blakely was inspired by fellow enterpeneur Johnny Cupcakes to "show appreciation and do something fun" for each customer. Bite Mark Clothing is named in honour of zombie movies and the ideal that the t-shirts leave a lasting impression on people. Elaine Blakely states that "Bite Mark Clothing embraces the idea of unity in a collective but still retaining your individuality. An ideal that spreads through each member like a virus and allows you to be yourself but still be a part of something big. Much like the diverse range of zombies out there." The venture has sold over 100 t-shirts (as of March 12th 2008) via online promotion and marketing in horror magazines and social networking websites such as My Space. With customers buying more than 1 t-shirt are of their collectablity, Elaine Blakely is set to released more t-shirts and introduce hoodies into the Bite Mark Clothing line. California based band, Autumn Tragedy is the first band to be endorsed by Bite Mark Clothing and their video for single "We Walk Alone" is available to view on the Bite Mark website.
