  • The 1991 Miller Genuine Draft 500 was a Winston Cup event held at Pocono Raceway on July 21, 1991. Rusty Wallace won his second and final race of the year. Ernie Irvan was leading but needed to pit for fuel with less then 30 laps to go giving the lead to Wallace. Just two laps later the caution was thrown due to rain. After several caution laps the race was put under a red flag for 2 hours and 5 minutes before the track was dried and the field continued under a caution flag, however just moments after going back yellow it started raining again and the race was called at lap 179. Mark Martin finished in second place. The first half of the race saw several accidents including a massive crash coming off turn 3 at lap 73 which included several leaders.
