Hij moest het gebruik van het Magnetic Field, de atmosfeer en de veiligheid in de Docking Bay regelen. Treidum opened the doors to the station in order to get the communicator replaced, but found Luke Skywalker and his companions waiting outside. Skywalker shot Treidum and killed him in order to use the security station to locate Princess Leia Organa onboard the battle station.

Die was het verdachte vrachtschip binnengegaan dat pas was binnengehaald in Docking Bay 327. Even later verscheen TK-421 weer op zijn post en deed hij teken dat zijn transmitter beschadigd was. Treidum signaleerde aan zijn collega dat hij deze zou gaan repareren. Toen hij de deur opende stond Treidum oog in oog met Chewbacca en een seconde later met zijn vuist die de Lieutenant uitschakelde. Het was niet geweten wat er daarna met Treidum gebeurde maar de kans is groot dat hij sneuvelde toen de Death Star I werd vernietigd.
