In May 2009, he drove around Weatherfield looking for Sian's boyfriend, Ryan Connor, as he was angry after finding condoms in Sian's bag. When Vinnie found Ryan, he accused him of raping his daughter and pinned him against a wall. Ryan insisted he hadn't slept with Sian and Vinnie decided to believe him after Peter Barlow defended the boy. In January 2010, just after Sian's 16th birthday, Vinnie found out that she and Ryan had had sex and again went to have it out with Ryan, only to be told off by Ryan's mother Michelle. He decided to send Sian to live with her mother in Southport. He disowned Sian after learning that she was a lesbian.
